Situated in Helensburgh and with Glasgow Botanic Gardens reachable within 38 km, Rooms Above Sugar Boat features a terrace, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar. The property is around 39 km from University of Glasgow, 39 km from Riverside Museum of Transport and Technology and 39 km from Mugdock Country Park. Staff on site can arrange a shuttle service. I really enjoyed my stay at Sugar Boat. The room was well-designed, spotless and the bed was super comfy. The shower was great and there were some extra features like a kettle, a selection of teas, ground coffee, and two freshly baked shortbread cookies. I had dinner at their bistro with their soup of the day (red cabbage with sour cream), accompanied by crispy and buttery sourdough bread. At breakfast, I wanted to try their porridge and it was scrumptious. The quality of each ingredient was high, portions were generous, and the price was more than reasonable. The staff were kind and easy-going. I definetely recommend Sugar Boat and hope to return soon.

The property is non-smoking and is located 23 km from Springbank Whisky Distillery. Catherine was an amazing host on arrival, also great communication before arriving, lodge was beautiful decorated and immaculate, very well equipped with everything you would need, bed also comfortable, hot tub is an added bonus great to relax and admire the gorgeous views over this little piece of paradise, kintyre is certainly a beautiful place, we enjoyed our visit to gin distillery and gigha also Westport beach and Southend beach are all definitely worth a visit, also it was lambing time on the farm was lovely to see all the new born lambs.

Best appartment we stayed in on our journey. Everything was perfect about it. The location: a 10. The view: same. The decoration, bed, facilities: could not be better. Met both Jonathan and Eileen while we were there, hosts as you would want them anywhere. Grateful for a perfect stay.

At the accommodation all rooms include a private bathroom with bathrobes and slippers. It is lovely. Everything is awesome. The house, the location, the terrace facing the isles at sunset, the rooms, the breakfast… Hum, am I missing something ? Of course! Roger and Sally are incredible too.
