Originally a cattle drover’s inn, this Highland hotel lies just over 30 miles from the pretty town of Inveraray and the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. The port of Oban is approximately 30 minutes drive and ideal to enjoy for a day out. All the staff was really wellcoming, the landscape and surroundings are wonderful! The breakfast was awesome.

Rooms at Loch Melfort Hotel have views, and some have patio doors and a terrace. Some of the rooms are dog friendly. We spent the night in the junior suite. The views on loch melfort were exceptional. The room was incredible, with a comfortable bed and couch and more. Had dinner in the hotel and it was exquisitely prepared Would definitely come again to have some peace and quiet. We enjoyed the walk to the beach saying hello to the Highland cows

Contact with the host through text was perfect and we were able to enter the apartment earlier than expected. Parking outside is free from 6pm to 9am overnight and we were lucky with plenty of spaces. Shower was brilliant! Instructions for using appliances were easily available which was really helpful. Coat stand was provided which was really useful. We stayed in the bottom flat Two which was a great size and layout.

Helpful and very friendly host who personally looks after everything. Location is ideal to the endless sand beaches of Westport, popular with surfers, to the dunes and golf of Machrihanish and to Campbeltown.

Would definitely stay the food was soo yummy as well.
