Don’t be disuaded by lack of reviews, they will come and for sure will be positive regarding all aspects of this hotel. I was warmly welcomed by the staff and owner/ manager, all friendly, professional, helpful and efficient. The location is exceptional, central on the river with 5-10 min walk to all Lovech attractions. The room was quiet, spotlessly clean with fantastic view of the covered bridge. Comfortable bed. Mini fridge and plenty of power sockets. The inclusive breakfast options were very good. At weekends the hotel has live music, the pianist was fantastic and the atmosphere in the restuarant was vibrant, friendly and relaxing. I ate in the restuarant both nights of my stay, there is plenty of choice from the menu and the food is very good. All round excellent service. Great value.

Go see the surroundings. Both the waterfalls and the Devetashka cave. If hungry in Lovech, look for "mehanas and eat traditional (1+ for Draka but there are others you can try just as well).

Lovech how is a great town to base yourself in to see the Devetashka Caves. The Covered Bridge is pretty cool to see aswell, especially at night! One day and night is more than enough time to spend there however.

We didn't spend too much time in Troyan itself - went to the park of the hotel which was a nice walk and did a very short walk in town where we sat at a nice little cafe behind the ethnographic museum. They served us an excellent local prune and apple juice. We took a short trip to Lovech for the most of our Saturday and this was really nice - we saw the fortress and a few small museums. For Lovech, make sure you don't try random food places - we got a horrendous experience with rotten food in a tavern right on the city center square.

It depends whether you go to Bulgaria to live or just holiday, as a holiday location Lovech is very nice with lots of bars and restaurants and close to other places of interest. On the other hand if you living in the area it's one of the key locations to go to sort out all your legal issues as it is also an administrative centre

Lovech is a lovely town full of history and good shops, but...
Lovech is a lovely town full of history and good shops, but why has the whole pedestrian walk way through the center of the town been pulled up ready for re-laying, which we were told they had three years to complete The day we went into town had had heavy rainfall the previous day so it was a game of criss- crossing to miss the puddles. Why not have done half and then the other half so life could have carried on. The church in the town center which we understand was paid for by the local people is truly beautiful and a credit to all concerned. We have an old Virosha house up by the fort that we were told Vasil Levski had used as a hid away, which we have nearly finished renovating. The years are advancing so we will be selling in near future but hopefully will still make our visits to our favourite haunts.
