This place was better than I had expected because the staff at Hotel St. George made us feel welcome and at home. They were not only friendly but extremely accommodating. The table in the apartment was small for our needs so they generously offered us use of a conference room with large table. As for the rest, the beds were comfortable and the food in the restaurant was good. I was worried about the street parking, but they told us where we could find a spot for free so no problems there. All in all a perfect stay.

Really enjoyed it and the staff is so nice. Room was big, with a small kitchen area and a decent sized bathroom. The location might not be ideal if you are not travelling by car but the bus stop is near by so it’s doable. There are also various activities for children which was very nice.

Our stay at La Fleur de Lys was excellent ! Staff was very kind and friendly, the location was great and our view from the room was lovely, also the bed was really comfy. We visited Gruyeres in September 2015 and stayed at "La Fleur de Lys" hotel where we had dinner on the first night outside on the terrace overlooking the comings and goings of the main street. Gruyeres is an amazing little medieval town in the Swiss canton of Fribourg and definitely worth staying overnight. During the day it is very busy with busloads of visitors but at night once everyone had departed, it was quiet and relaxing. The castle is a great place to wander around as is the HR Giger museum. The Giger Bar Restaurant is amazing and totally unique - we had a lovely dinner there on our second night. Only locals can drive their cars inside the town - visitors and tour buses park in the carparks outside the entrance to the town. There are lots of walks around the town and beautiful views over the surrounding countryside from the town walls. We walked down to La Maison du Gruyere and took a tour through the cheese factory - really interesting watching the cheese making process. We also drove up to the base of Moleson sur Gruyeres and went up to the top on the funicular and cable car. The views were amazing. Another place worthwhile visiting is Maison Cailler in nearby Broc where the most amazing chocolate is made - a tour of the factory is very interesting and the chocolate tasting on the way is not to be missed.

I stayed in this hotel for a long period after finishing a renting contract. The employees of the hotel were extremely kind and comprehensive regarding the special situation. They could manage to provide me extra support on some specific requests. The view over the prealps from Gruyere is fantastic (Moleson, Dent du Chamois), the breakfast was excellent. It was a pleasure to end a 3 years stay in the canton of Fribourg in this charming hotel, during Christmas time. Thank you to the team!

Super helpful and kind staff who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and supported with our every request. Check-in and out was super easy (in the restaurant - there's no front desk), we actually were able to check-out and pay online with a link they'd sent once we arrived. Clean and comfortable room (ours even had a mini-fridge) in beautiful historic hotel in fantastic location in the heart of Gruyeres village. 2 min walk to castle and museums. Restaurant looked (and smelled!) wonderful though we didn't have time to dine there. Would absolutely stay again! Merci beaucoup to the whole team!

The lake-side location, the garden terraces, the room size, and the comfort of the bed & bedding were all excellent. We were over the moon that there was a large fan in our room during the heatwave days of July. The staff was pleasant, kind and accommodating. The breakfast coffee was superb, the best I've had in my many visits to Switzerland.

Authentic character and charm. The entire staff could not have been nicer— Patrick was amazing! It was a rare chance to stay in a castle with amazing grounds, just a mile away from historic Murten - Morat. We loved every minute of our stay!
