The place is quite beautiful. Great views of the mountains, access to the river (not for swimming, though), a lot of nature, and an amazing view of the sky at night. Great to do some outside activities if you are up to (walking, hiking, horse riding, rafting), or just rest in a calm environment. There is a small (really small) village nearby (walking distance), with just a few options of restaurants (no supermarkets, drugstores, etc.), in addition to the restaurant and coffee shop inside the hotel property (which is located around 1 hour by car from Santiago).

It is a secure, “into the wild” hotel. There are many options to chill, such as a swimming pool, hammocks, fire places, and many more. There is a river right beside the hotel, which generates a very relaxing nature sound all day long. We stayed in Cabaña 4 (1-4 are equal), which is superb. There is a very well equipped kitchen. Clean restroom. Cozy bed. There is an awesome balcony with a view to the woods, mountains and river. In chilly nights, one can even light up the fireplace within the room (there is one within and one in the balcony!) This hotel is located very close to the city San José de Maipo, which is nice since one can quickly go to the city’s supermarket. Famous tourist spots (Embalse el Yeso; Termas Valle de Colina) are ~1 hour away by car. Casa Chocolate is less than 10 minutes away. In summary, one of the best hotels I’ve ever been.

The accommodations at La Casa de Carlitos will provide you with a patio and a terrace. pool was great....both of them! Breakfast and coffee was whatever I asked for, they provided. I used their hot tub, and it was also great. Many restaurants around. Completely surrounded by mountains. Wineries were 40mins away.

Hotel Altiplanico Cajón del Maipo is set in a charming house made of wood and clay, and surrounded by a big garden with a pool. It offers rooms with plasma TV in San José de Maipo. the best part of the Hotel is the staff. all of then, both girls from reception, the cousine crew and the guy who works on maintenance! everybody was lovely!

Situated in San Alfonso and only 47 km from Museo Interactivo Mirador, Cabañas Piedra Luna features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The house was well equiped, but it could use a little renovation, the spaces were great, we got to visit some close restaurants and the food was very good.
