Located on the banks of the Rhône, Hôtellerie Beau Rivage welcomes you in a large family-run hotel offering a warm and friendly atmosphere and a unique charm. we have made a booking spontaneously on our road back home to Prague from Barcelona , we wanted something in quiet location not far from highway. But we have found a true jewel. I was a very cozy place with old style furniture. The true surprise was awaiting us at the dinner , we didn't expect that we were at the heat at high molecular kitchen. it was 11 out of 10. please give this restaurant a Mechelen star. Will surely come back

Offering a barbecue and sun terrace, La Fortance Paradis Naturel is set in Planfoy in the Rhône-Alps Region, 9 km from Saint-Étienne. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. It was a stunning location and the host was extremely welcoming (but only speaks French unfortunately for me!). It is definitely a 'get there by car' type of place alternatively you could probably hike there with a bit of planning as it is situated in a beautiful forest around a lake. The room is picturesque and you can see her creative flair which is lovely. Its both cosy and spacious in the room. Our bathroom was upstairs and it was well laid out and had everything you would need. We were also travelling with a medium dog. She welcomed our pet and has two dogs and a cat of her own. We did keep the pets separated but it was all part of the experience of staying in someone else's space. The host ended up making us a surprising and exceptional meal from the veg and herbs in her garden because the only local restaurant was closed (still a drive away). I would also recommend going for her breakfast as she makes all her own jams (also some of her own teas) and the pancakes were very yummy. All in all it's a quirky place with a fantastic home built design. I was absolutely delighted by the whole experience and have already recommended it!
