I stopped of in Plymouth for 3 days as a break whilst travelling to Falmouth to meat of with a group of friends who had flown to Newquay. A great time was had by all.

Nice quaint Devonshire village with 3 pubs a shop and post office. The kings arms pub has sky sports and bt sports and is dog friendly as is most of hartland, locals are great and so is the Rattler cider. A car is a requirement when staying in hartland.
Always a treat to visit the beautiful and rugged North Devon coast. Ilfracombe seems to be stuck in a bit of a time warp but that adds to the charm of the area. Added bonus if visiting during annual Victorian celebrations. Plenty of lovely places to eat and drink. Make a point of visiting “Verity” the Damien Hirst sculpture at the entrance to the harbour...breathtaking!
Torquay is beautiful. First time to Devon and I could quite happily relocate. So much to do and see especially with children. Lots of lovely walks and to many beaches to choose from. Cockington Park is a must it’s like the secret garden absolutely beautiful. Ferry over to Paignton and Brixham is a must especially if you have small children but it’s just as fun going without. Paignton zoo is another fab day out tho it is hilly. Crabbing at both Torquay and Brixham harbour is fun to. Meadfoot beach is brilliant very rocky but with two little climbers they absolutely looked using the wall as a climbing wall. They also do the best ice cream. 4 nights wasn’t enough for us, we have booked a week next year to come back and will be visiting with my sister to do some water sports over the summer.
We stayed in a Garden Room which was light, spacious, spotless and comfortably. Each room had a terrace and garden area separated from it's neighbours by shrubs and trees giving privacy and a feeling of seclusion. And yet the excellent Michael Caines restaurant was only a 30 second walk away. We visited RHS Rosemoor and Dartington Glassworks and toured the village gems along the North Devon coast culminating in the fabulous views across the Bristol Channel to Wales from Dunkery Hill.
+ Stunning picturesque harbour + Buses, park & ride, ferries. + Buller Arms fish and chips £7 each brilliant + Beer and a glass of wine for £5 at Weatherspoons - or beer and wine £10 at overpriced harbour restraunts. - Car parking a bit pricey like all of Devon. - BreakWater beach car park under repair - #12 bus service from Paignton was useless. Should be every 10 minutes but 3 would turn up together then on immediate return to Paignton bus depot they'd sign Out of Service
Perfect midweek break with brilliant facilities indoor outdoor pool and great gym. Easy walk into Barnstaple all on the flat app 15 mins. Ample parking. Perfect base to see North Devon Lyntom and Lynmouth were beatiful well worth a visit.
Nice on seafront & harbour area, not the cleanest of towns in devon a few homeless around the town and could be cleaned up and money spent in the town a little dated
We use the White Hart regularly. In fact I remember it the way it used to be before it was renovated. Honestly, I miss the nooks and crannies and fireplaces of the old White Hart Hotel and that character has been lost with the renovations. Saying that, the hotel itself is great although the rooms can be a little hit and miss. For this stay, our room was great and QUIET (not always the case) and the beds have always been super comfy. The staff are always friendly. Good old Devon. Some things don’t change.
Stunning hand built shepherds hut which was equipped with impeccable taste and quality. Felicity was the perfect host and had thought of everything. We even had fresh eggs for the morning from her chickens! . Immaculately clean with the little touches of a high end hotel.... perfect. Very friendly farm animals including a dog, cat and horses. The view from the hut is amazing, looking across the Devon hills with incredible sun rises and sun sets.
Very tranquil setting although a little remote. Accommodation was good. Staff very helpful. Lovely views over the surrounding area. Typical very narrow Devon winding lanes with few passing places. Some flooding due to heavy rain. We welcomed the very helpful directions given by the hotel for our arrival as Sat Nat directions more suitable for 4x4 vehicles only. Nearby woodland walks and activities. Nice star lit skies at night.
Staff were very friendly, greeted by a lovely chap on arrival who took us to our room. Hotel was in a great location for us as we stopped there on our way to Devon Cliffs for the night and visited Topsham from there. We had a lovely Sunday roast for our evening meal followed by a few drinks in the bar. Very accommodating to my wife and I and our 16 year old son. Will definitely be going again as it was great value for money.
Crediton
The Location is Great right in the heart of Devon and only a few minutes from Dartmoor National Park and the A30 so easy access to both. The house has wonderful views across the Devon countryside from the Breakfast Room where you can enjoy the fantastic breakfast and wildlife in the garden.Nicola and Kerry are great hosts and nothing is too much trouble with an attention to detail you would expect at a 5 star Hotel!
Newton Abbot
The apartment is ideally situated in near proximity to both Paignton and Torquay where we have family. We also found it easy to access places of interest to us - Totnes, Brixham, Dartmouth, Kingsbridge, Slapton Sands and Salcombe . We have appreciated the tasteful furniture, the excellently equipped kitchen and many other facilities we were not expecting. A great place to enjoy a holiday in South Devon
We stayed in the Bath Hotel this week for 3 nights. The Hotel is near to the river and to the Harbour. Staff are very friendly and polite. Breakfast was lovely. We have been very pleased with a size of the room and bathroom. Particle see view was great too! I could recommend this place for anyone who is looking for accommodations in Devon. We would definitely go there again.

Bideford
The location is perfect, very close to many brilliant locations in North Devon. The apartment is very spacious and clean. It has everything you could need - including tea and coffee facilities. The hosts were very friendly and helpful also. The area is very quiet and peaceful, a real change from London!
Bideford
Well placed to visit North Devon coastline (which is what we were there for) and certainly the best hotel we could have found in Bideford, which is quite small. The staff were very nice and always helpful. The hotel itself is quite nice, in an old school sort of way (big ceilings, patterned carpets, etc...)
My Partner and I drove from Kent down to Devon on Friday, for a family 40th birthday party on Saturday evening . I booked on line the Passage house hotel. Standard room for two night. I also Received an upgrade to a Estuary view room at a discounted rate. Lovely Hotel , staff . And facilities.
Torquay
Nice apartment, comfy and quiet. Located in a safe area, easy to park outside and a quick drive to the centre. Good shower. Kitchen was very small but well equipped for basic cooking. Sharon was very welcoming and replied very quickly to our messages. Good value for money in expensive Devon
Combe Martin
Great apartment, located very close to the seafront. The apartment had everything we needed. The hosts made us feel very welcome, helping take our bags in and our children were delighted with the little surprises left for them. It was a great base to explore the north Devon coast from.
Club family rooms are fantastic, so spacious with a lovely balcony and and amazing views, beds 2/3 are all comfy, Breakfast which we took in the room for a £5 tray charge was delicious, However the greatest advantage this Hotel has imo the best dog friendly hotel around Devon, 👏🏽👏🏽
Bideford
Breakfast was excellent and the Staff were very helpful. Room was lovely and very quiet. The Hotel is situated in a great location in Devon and is steeped in history. All the food prepared is of the brilliant quality that exists in the Devon countryside and surrounding localities.

Ashburton
Kate and Nathan are fantastic hosts! The Breakfast was exceptional. The location is close to the Dartmoor National Park and other popular tourist spots in Devon. Good dining option at the nearby Dartmoor Lodge Hotel. Parking was not an issue.
Hope-Cove
The hotel was refurbished last year and has been done to a very high standard. The staff were really freindly, welcoming and helpful. The loacation is absolutely superb, right on the back front in one of the most beautiful Devon coves.
