The room was spotless, the beds were comfy, the water was hot. we got a quiet room away from the street and the parking was inside so very safe. the breakfast was amazing and the breakfast people were really nice.

Worth the effort
Creel is the ideal stopping off point if you want to see more of the canyon than you can from the train. There is also plenty of tour and activity options that are easily arranged, and bus options from here through to Chihuahua if you want to leave in the morning to arrive before dark.

Good place to leave the train. Bus link to Chihuahua runs every two hours and takes about 5 hours. Spectacular scenery, but day is more than enough.
