Ahlströmin Ruukki Noormarkku, resort in Pori

Set over 4 buildings, this elegant design property is next to the Noormarkku River and 500 metres from Noormarkku town centre. It offers free Wi-Fi and tastefully decorated, individual rooms.

Each bright and airy guest room at Noormarkun Klubi features a flat-screen TV, bathrobes and shower. Some include décor inspired by Finnish designer Alvar Aalto. Others have their own kitchen, private sauna and fireplace.

The area is very exceptional, an interesting historical site, very well maintained. We had a very quick visit but we enjoyed it although it was raining. There is much to see, lovely old wooden buildings, Makkarakoski rapids, you can take the tours to learn more of the area, etc. The staff is very friendly, breakfast is plenty (very good oat porridge and exquisite strawberry-rhubarb jam!), room has airconditioning and there was even a shared kitchen upstairs (we were in Sahala building). The added bonus is that you can recharge your electric car for free! This is going to be our regular place to stay when we are heading to Pori or the area in vicinity. It is only 10mins by car from Pori.

    The flat is nicely equipped and spacey. You should not expect luxury, but everything is available (coffee machine, stove, microwave, washing machine, …) and also a welcome present in form of Fazer and coffee. For wintertime you may appreciate the private sauna. In warmer times you can enjoy the (glass covered) balcony. Sleeping room with moring sun, living room with evening sun (if you let it in). Very quiet surrounding. Own parking place with e-connection for heating.
