Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandUnfortunately, the service at the door was not what it used to be. We weren't greeted as friendly as we used to be, the door wasn't always held open, once they couldn't find our car and when checking in a piece of luggage fell down and the bag was torn and when checking out they simply forgot to load a piece of luggage, luckily we thought of it ourselves when counting and checking and the gentleman found it somewhere after a while. And the new system of scanning the card is very annoying.
For my wife and me, the Jumeirah Beach Hotel is still one of the most beautiful hotels in UAE and, above all, has the most spectacular view. Even if the service at the door is no longer as perfect as it used to be and the Jumeirah logo, which we love, is unfortunately no longer there. We had a great time at this hotel and would love to come back any time!

Saudi ArabiaIf you go to visit Dubai one day, I recommend to all Jumeirah Beach Hotel, because what me and my family feels. They have their own logo about them “ Stay Different “. Really they meant. starting at the entrance welcoming, At the reception, they care about you and do not let you wait long, They explain the resort's facilities to you. There are staff other than staff at the reception to serve you, like Mrs. Engela Dordzhieva all what you will see smiling. The room was clean clean clean I meant and comfortable On the 14th floor, view at Burj Al Arab and the sea view and sunset view you have a beautiful moment from the room. they have different rooms with the options you like. They have a large breakfast with many varieties and options, and a breakfast area for children, there are a TV and channel for children to enjoy the meal. There are shops inside, they don't leave you needing to go out. I'm talking about the swimming pools, they have a variety of options for children and adults, and the Olympic swimming pool with barriers. Pools are clean and clear. staff are very very very kind and smiling and's serve you well. Just tell them what you need they can serve you. On of experience at adult pool the staff name's: Mr. Jojje, Sahadat, Jabed, Manraj The Kids club, they have time to leave the child alone start from 10 a.m till 12:45p.m like what we did with my daughter 3 years she had a great time and the Message you status on your what’s up about your daughter I will post Example from my what’s: “ I met your daughter already Sir and she’s doing arts and crafts 😊 ”. From Mrs. Regie Anne She kind and taking care of all children’s needs with other staff with her. at 01:00 they can enter you with your child and the third time they have They have large private was clean with the view at Burj Al Arab. They have free access to Wild Wadi Water Park. Its location is next to it. Free Towels before entering the park. Just tall them your room number.

United Arab EmiratesA little crowded at the breakfast area, no jacuzzi at the spa area.
The biggest territory and amenities among the other nearby hotels, including multiple pools and sunbeds near the sea. Tennis courts available to rent and gym. Stunning views towards Burj Al Arab, the view is very open. Highly recommended.

United KingdomNot enough separation between those with children and not. Frustratedly, I believe the executive pool should be child free unless positioned near the children’s section. But we experienced families placed in all areas and for us, with no children didn’t find it all that relaxing. Especially, when there isn’t an adult only section.
