Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSibel is marvellous - she could not have been more helpful and gave me wonderful advice as to the best places to visit and to eat. I had a lovely holiday thanks to her advice. The studio apartment is exceptionally well laid out and equipped. I lacked for nothing!!! There was even insect repellent in the cupboard. Every thought and consideration has been given to ensuring the comfort of the guests - it was lovely!!! The patio with views over the garden and off to the hills/mountains was so relaxing, it was lovely to sunbathe out there and to watch the hummingbirds and little lizards.

United KingdomNothing, absolutely nothing!
This self-catering property deserves 15/10. I could not praise it enough. Its major asset is its host, Sibil, who contacted me immediately after booking and gave valuable advise. I received a warm welcome, and we chatted almost every day about my plans and what I had experienced the previous day. The four rooms Sibil rents out are on a hill, with beautiful views over the well-maintained gardens and all the way to the mountains. They are super-clean and beautifully designed like a Mediterranean retreat. You have all kitchen tools you need and can change big beach towels. Also, this is good value for money. I soon realised that a car is absolutely vital to see all of this beautiful island. However, be aware that none of the international and major domestic car rental companies offer Super Cover. You always pay an excess of $US1,000 for a week. What I did not know before arrival is that Antigua is pothole island, and I mean big and deep potholes; you can hold six dugs in some of those pools. Hence, I cannot say how relieved and grateful I was, when Sibil recommended a very local company, J and R, led by Eugen, which offers very good cars with zero excess. Eugen has no website, but Sibil will put you in contact. There was no excess-free equivalent in St Kitts, my next destination (though here streets are good); so do think of a free-standing excess insurance. Thanks for all, Sibil!

This is a gorgeous apartment near the main All Saints Road around 5kms from St John’s. If you want peace and tranquility away from the all inclusive resorts this is the place to come. A very modern apartment with a lovely outside patio, table and lounger. Nearby is a supermarket, takeaway, and restaurant. Very easy to catch a local minibus to St John’s or English Harbour, just flag one down along the main road. Sibel, the owner is a lovely chatty lady, very friendly and will answer any questions you may have. Totally recommended.

SpainReally perfect stay at this very pleasant venue. The host 'Sibel' was very professional and accommodating and helpful in all regards. Very contactable on WhatsApp. Nothing was too much trouble and the price was very competitive. For us, this location was excellent. Very good accessibility to the local bus and taxi networks. There is even a good grocery store / supermarket and several local eateries nearby. 100% problem free stay. Extremely cosy and comfortable. Thanks very much.

United KingdomThere was nothing that I didn’t like about the property but suggest others are mindful that you are staying a few miles out of town so think about transport i.e. car hire, public buses. I hired a car and whilst you need to be careful navigating pot holes and dirt tracks, it was amazing for me as was free to come and go as I pleased, explore the island.
It was clean, comfortable, I felt safe as a lone fender traveler. Beautiful view of the greenery, mountains. Host Sybil was really warm, helpful, and on hand for any advice, tips needed.

Bellevue suites is in the the central of Antigua, anywhere you want to go is no longer than 40 mins (we saw the whole island!) 10 mins drive from St. John’s (town centre). The apartment looks EXACTLY like the pictures, so clean and well equipped with everything you’d possibly need/ want; it’s truly a hotel ran by women as everything is thought through. Now onto our amazing hostess Sibel! She helped us with booking our excursions and getting us the best price, you could contact her day or night and she’d try her very best to help. She is most definitely a super women and a delight to be around. All in all this hotel is perfect for 2 people who want to most out of their holiday. Love from Mother & Daughter (Tia & Aprille)

The hostess, Sibel, was very pleasant and helpful! For example, she allowed us to check in a bit early, arranged a taxi from the airport and back, organized a car rental for us, as well as provided us with a thorough explanation of places to visit. Also, the appartement was modern, well equipped, and spotless. Finally, the bed and pillows were very comfortable!
