Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NigeriaI like everything but I had to pay taxi for everything. I sleep with a CPAP machine and had to unplug other things to connect my bedside CPAP machine and plug to charge up my cellphone at the same times. So, I thought that it would have been good if the studio room had better, easier or more plug connections. The strip wouldn't take all either because it was too small or because different plugs are shaped differently on the ends. Still enjoyed my stay and would stay again if I come back again. The grocery store was around 5-10 minutes away. The hot food at the grocery store was very good. Ms Sally is the best. She showed me around, explain the history about this and that but I wished that I could have gone to the beach side and walk around a little. Driving is on the opposite side of the road from the US, so I didn't want to rent a car, not use to that. The money exchange was confusing but it was easy to Use US dollars. I recommend this Airbnb Cottages.
The staff, Ms Bernadette and Ms Sally treated me like family away from home. My first time from the US to Antigua. Ms Bernadette and Ms Sally, understood that I didn't know the local culture and was very polite, patient in communicating by explaining everything that was understandable for me. I had everything that I needed for the room minus paper towels for kitchenette. The Ocean view was breathtaking for me and the environment was very peaceful. The many plants and flowers surrounding the home was very beautiful. My vacation was short but next time if I get the chance to come back then I will know more about what to do and expect. I enjoyed the Netflix movies.

United KingdomNo complaints!
It was a really good location but you need a car! The garden was lovely. The owner was really helpful and recommended a really good car hire and other activities. The lady who came every day was also really friendly and helpful. It was also very good value for money. It was a perfect base to explore the island. The WiFi was also fantastic.

United Kingdomthe studio was a bit outdated but everything was working
The host Bernadette was lovely. We enjoyed our relaxing stay and the studio had all we need for cooking. The view of the garden was lovely and the short coconut tree in the garden was a bonus. We had a great time swimming with the sting rays.

United KingdomThe mosquitoes but dealt with using bug spray and air conditioning to keep them at bay. The same can’t be said when out and about.
Self catering. Unfortunately due to natural insect life cockroaches and ants welcome food/drink to carry through to first day was not available but understandable. An airtight storage box might allow coffee/tea/sugar/powdered milk to be stored prior to guest/s arriving. The location was very quiet with a couple of noisy evenings one until 8pm (the bird next door which talks) and loud music until 1:45am on just the one occasion. The view is fabulous. Parking is available if renting a car.

United StatesThe first room I was in had a horrid odor. When I mentioned it to the owner he moved me to the beautiful suite and dealt with the odor. He said it was coming from the refrigerator. It was room 5. Hopefully it is now fixed. A car rental is essential if staying in this location.
The garden and the outside sitting areas were peaceful and pretty. The manager and staff were very helpful and kind. The second room I had was an apartment and it was perfect. Even had a balcony overlooking the bay.

RomaniaIs a modest, basic accommodation but considering the prices on this island is good value for money.
Located next to Stingray City, they have a significant guest discount for Stingray experience, if you have a car the location is grate as a base to explore the island.

United StatesThe room sheets were not really clean. Had stains on the side. The mosquitos was a little annoying. A few of the silver ware were kind of rusted or some brown stain.
I like the location close to water and not far from Long Bay beach and Devil's island Bridge. Inlike the room. The stove i used to cook. Not far from the local store. Bout a 15 min walk. Close to sting ray city. Swim with the sting rays. I will book again . The housing manager Melissa was very helpful. Hertz canceled at the last minute and she got me a car the next day. Thanks. Beautiful island

ItalyThe furniture itself is quite old and would benefit a renovation, such as the windows. there are noises from animals and other people that can disturb sometimes at night. for us it was fine to take the car every day but you should be prepared to rent it otherwise it’s not possibile to do anything a part the trip to sting ray
Local experience in Antigua, with a very welcoming lady (Melissa) that organized everything we might need during our stay, and was always smiling and nice. the position near the sea is nice even if the description on Booking reports it’s 100 mt from the beach which is not true. there is no beach there and you need a car to go anywhere…
