Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyStaff at reception and restaurant is not up to the hotel standard. Service and attention to guests is bare minimum. Power outage occurred during the stay and guests were left literally in the dark, without any assistance. Safes in the room are fixed to… small tables which can be moved, and therefore easily stolen, together with the attached safe (which therefore is all but safe).
The hotel is in very good location, close to centre and interesting places and restaurants. The hotel is big and spacious. Breakfast has ample choice of both international and local products.

United Arab EmiratesThe shower heads are too low, I am an average height man and I had to bend my knees to shower properly. I am not sure what will happen if I was a over 180 cm which is extremely annoying. Also the breakfast that we included in our package was below average to be honest we went only on day 1 and never went again out of our 7 days trip. What is even worse is the AC, we went during extremely hot days and unfortunately the AC is just a fan that does not have any chilling in it and when you complain about it they tell you that the chilling is off please open your windows and imagining opening your windows for 7 days in the middle of a busy city with all the outside noise and having to keep the curtains open as well to get some breeze which makes you wake up almost at sunrise which is not really nice for someone traveling to get some rest. Also wifi is really bad but fortunately you can buy a sim card with unlimited data for like 20$. The pool is indoor and you have to wear a cap even if you have short hair to access it.
The location of this Hotel is perfect and maybe the best one in Yerevan, we were also given a very high floor which gave us a direct view to Cascade Complex, Mother of Armenia as well as the beautiful city of Yerevan. It is walking distance from almost everything which is awesome. You have a mini market that has an exchange inside it and stays open till really late and it is few meters away from the Hotel.

Irelandmy room was slightly dated, perfectly good facilities but slightly dated decor & shower was in the bath, would have preferred separate shower. however the rest of my group were happy with their rooms so I might have just had an older room not yet updated

RomaniaShower was broken, toilet was not clean properly, carpet was dirty and stained, superficial cleaning service. Poor fitness/gym, it consists in 4 standstill bikes and 1 pressing bench. The sauna is separated, men and women, the pool is open for outsider guests so was crowded. Door soundproofing doesn't exist so you can hear all noises from hallways and other rooms very loudly.
good location, close to city center. good breakfast suitable for all needs

RussiaBad wifi internet The connection was constantly interrupted, and the ping was up to 20 - 30 seconds (not milliseconds) As a result, there is no Internet via Wi-Fi. I used mobile internet on my phone. It was much better. The musty smell in the room smells like mold. No soundproofing - you wake up at 6 in the morning when the earliest neighbors wake up and go to the elevator, and elevator beeps are heard from your bed. The bathroom had a sewer smell.
Good breakfast with unlimited food and coffee :) Nice view of Ararat mountain

Georgia1. Reception was asking me 5 times if I’m sure I will pay by card seeing I have Russian passport. 2. Very low ceilings. 3. You can enter a pool only in professional swimming cap that you can buy there (what a surprise). 4. Pool is a joke. 20 meters or so and 3 lines. 5. Breakfast was very limited.

QatarThe air conditioning didn't work as good in the room. Wifi connectivity and speed was very poor. They did give us a small device for wifi but the speed was terrible. Breakfast buffet could have had more variety. It was exorbitantly expensive tarrif, I paid 500 USD for 4 nights which is comparable to New York, London and Paris.
The staff was courteous, polite and very helpful. Location of the hotel was very good.

RussiaThe economy room is surprisingly small, pretty much the only way to comfortably walk past the bed is to side step. The ceiling gets really low throughout the hotel. If you're taller than the average, you'll get used to bowing your head as you walk into the bathroom, near elevators, etc. Flush lights will become your enemy. You also won't be able to stand in the bathtub (which adds to the low ceiling problem). The WiFI was easily the worst I've ever used in a hotel. Judging by the number of mobile hotspots around me, other people struggled with it as well. My mobile hotspot also didn't help much due to the amount of concrete. TV was awful: just 4-5 international channels, all of the channels had some amount of static, and 16:9 channels seemed to be cut to 4:3 (yes, with black bars, for some reason). There are also not enough wall sockets to charge your devices comfortably. Room cleanliness seemed okay until I realized that the single-use shoe shine cloth had already been used. I guess it wasn't replaced because whoever used it before me returned it to the shelf used side down :)
Breakfast was alright, but good luck finding a non-disgusting table if you arrive late.

United KingdomRooms are very dated with poor air conditioning and plugs you need to keep your foot on. Shower over bath with curtain, completely unsuitable for anyone with any sort of mobility issue. Fridge was ridiculous noisy and television picture snowy. I came back to my room at 17:00 and it had not been cleaned, really not great when you have been sightseeing all day!

United StatesWiFi signal in room either was non-existent or so weak that it was next to useless. Frequently I had to go out into the hall in order to get things done. Hotel needs to put WiFi transmitters in more places - and possibly in rooms themselves - to give customers adequate internet service. Cleaning staff didn't resupply items as expected - I had to go to the front desk to ask for toilet paper, and on the last day of our stay they took the used washcloths and didn't leave new ones - we just did without. Going to breakfast was usually frustrating, in large part due to the single coffee machine that they have in the room - sometimes the line for the machine was so long I just gave up on having coffee, at other times the machine was broken and several staff members were hovering over it trying to make it work again. One coffee machine for 100 people...???!!! COME ON!!!
Location is excellent. All staff we interacted with were friendly, knowledgeable, and had good English skills. Loved having the small safe in the room. We particularly liked the hotel's "Garden Bar" - quiet shady place to sit in the afternoon with a beer or glass of wine - we visited it every day.

CanadaThis industry is an hospitality industry, hence workers need to be hospitable. Most of the staff were great, however there was one lady on the front desk that aperantely was "always busy " doing things when there was no clients except me at the front desk. My request was as basic as (can you order me yandex service(the Armenian equivalent of uber), her words were you can get it yourself or can go outside and someone will do it for you. I'm a very patient person, howe er her attitude is what made me downgrade the review.
