This is an economic and basic hostel with shared bathrooms, simple but clean and comfortable. The administrator Maria was very friendly. She also guarded our baggage after checkout time. It is perfectly located in the heart of San Telmo only half a block from the market, lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance, also the Plaza Dorrego. We did not eat breakfast at the hostel because of the many street restaurants nearby.

As we were on the terrace it was loud during the evenings. Nothing that couldn't be solved with some earplugs. The stay is more dated than the pictures but doesn't take away from all the positives. We would stay again!

We were in the perfect location in San Telmo. Close to breakfast spots and 10 minutes from the metro. Maria the host was super communicative and friendly. There was a basic kitchen and filtered water. Our room had doors to the terrace and the entire place was cleaned daily.

Just to note for others booking that check-in times are limited to between 1 and 6pm, kitchen hours for cooking limited (although not enforced as no staff ln site other than between 1 and 6pm) and payment is cash only. Our room was next to the terrace and wasn't very well sound-proofed so we were woken by other guests using it at 3am

Just that the reception is open only for a short time during the day. If you can get over that then it's an ideal spot to stay in San Telmo. The hostel could also do with some street signage

The rooms are nice and comfortable with air-con, the location must be one of the best you can possibly get. There are hired English speaking staff available between 13–18 p.m. Note that the common areas are near other peoples bedrooms, so it's not appreciated to use them when elderly guests go to bed 10 p.m with the window open to the terrace, expecting silence as if they had booked a four-star hotel. Also note that the common kitchen can only be used at very limited hours (for example not in the morning). Be prepared to show your keys several times to the old lady guarding the stairs. A good thing is that you never have to wait for the bathroom, since there were two of them on each floor. For breakfast, you can get a great one at "El Federal" on the same street for surprisingly reasonable price.

Good value and you can pay in cash. Nice room, clean shared bathrooms and a good kitchen. Nice balcony to sit out on. Amazing location right beside the San Telmo Market which has great food.

It's definitely not a social place, we were not looking for that, but not recommended for those looking to meet other people. Some weird rules about the kitchen use... Only 1 person per room allowed in the kitchen and why would the kitchen be "closed" between 2 pm and 8 pm?

The facilities are great. Very clean and great location for a low price.
