Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SloveniaShowers don't offer much privacy.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, offered fruit for vegan options at breakfast. Laundry was done quickly and well. Location might be uphill, but offers great views.

AustriaI slept very uncomfortable, it got very moist in the room, very bad ventilation and not a place to just hang out in your bed... I felt it's a good place to sleep between active days, not a place to hang and chill.
bussy hostel, you will find people, info and help here.

AustraliaVery much an old school hostel, so don’t come expecting luxury. Everything looks a bit dated, but I think that’s age rather than lack of cleanliness. Charging outlets are limited, and the rooms aren’t huge when fully occupied- where to put all the luggage is the main problem.
Not too far from the centre, and probably the cheapest accommodation you can find in Ushuaia. The main guy at reception, Gustavo, is helpful, nice and funny. The main common area is the decent sized kitchen, but there is a TV room upstairs too. A really good mix of people while I was there. Good, filling breakfast included in the price.

+ gustavo is a really friendly and helpful soul + the kitchen Area is not that big, but actually it helps to get to know each other when you're sitting with strangers at breakfast. I really met sweet people there, was a lot of fun! + i saw its also possible to rent camping equipment there + its 5-10min walking distance to the central, thats totally okay + hot shower! + the room is locked, you get your own key

United Statesin fairness, I made some assumptions. but there were no towels and the kitchen space is compact and was packed most of my stay. also the wifi wasn’t that great.
staff was very friendly and check-in was seamless. it was worth the money but it was also one of the cheaper properties. good for shorter stays. very responsive to messages before arrival.

Israelit was a fair walk uphill from the town center and the closest grocery store, which got tiring quickly. The showers were very dated with the knobs falling sometimes, and the dorms were a bit small
The atmosphere was very good and friendly, always had hot water and a great breakfast with eggs, bread, spreads. well equipped kitchen and good pricing

RomaniaNot all showers were working and for some the knobs were broken. Wifi was not very good (esp. for work calls, speed of upload was very low). These were more nuisances than actual issues, overall stay was great!
The staff is great, the kitchen is quite well equipped for cooking (breakfast is self-cooked), rooms sizes are very good & lockers are great. Location is not very central, but still quite close, which makes it perfect to start hikes from, but also quiet enough (away from the crowded areas). Supermarkets & fruit shops are also very close, some good restaurants as well.

SwedenIt was atrociously noisy. Sitting in the kitchen was rarely possible and I ate some of my meals in the restroom (also because the kitchen closes at 12am). There was some vermin making loud noises at night, no idea if they are staying there permanently or not. Not much protection from smokers as there is a courtyard. The tour given by staff did not include the upstairs lounge and thus I didnt know to use it for the first few days. I have absolutely no idea why the lounge closes at 9pm and the kitchen closes at 12am. The former removes an area free of noise pollution and the latter removes an area for vermin to congregate at night and cause less disturbance than if they congregated right outside the rooms. Not sure why the timings are more important to enforce than the need for quietness at night. Not a big fan of the long climb up from town to get here, but its ok. All the charging outlets are in one place which means others can easily knock over your charger and also the table below it becomes a mess. Room was also kinda messy as people just toss their stuff everywhere.
Staff are helpful, bed was comfortable and there are individual lockers. Free breakfast is highly appreciated, and the lounge room upstairs is good.

United KingdomIt's a bit of a hike up from town with steep sections but worth it!! The WiFi in the room wasn't as good as my first stay, had to go to the kitchen or reception at times
My second time staying there. Staff are friendly, helpful. Dorm room had an ensuite bathroom, kept very clean. There's no lounge but people sit in the kitchen, nice and warm when Gustavo is baking bread for brekkie!! Brekkie is 3 pieces of bread, butter jam etc and two eggs to cook how you want.

I loved the view from the private double room! Wow that was spectacular. Hugo, Gustavo and the ladies had great humour and helped us so much with anything needed. The community kitchen is a great place to make friends, learn languages, share food and learn about Patagonia. The hostel is also right next to the D bus line if you have a Sube download iBondi :)
