How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Walls are thin.
Location, breakfast included, price was excellent, it was clean. Kitchen was functional. It was warm.

The 4-person dorm only had one locker for 4 persons. Adding some hangers, individual shelves and lights in the dorms and some more kitchen utensils would be great. It lacks a living space with a couch or comfy chairs to hangout. The couch area shown in the pictures sadly does not exist anymore.
The staff was very nice! Julio and Nazza were super friendly and made me feel comfortable from the beginning. The location was amazing. The guest house is located on a quiet street, only a few steps away from the main street and the grocery store. The 4-person dorm was nice, and had enough space. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast selection was simple but delightful. I especially appreciated the scrambled eggs. The internet works great, though it does cut out every hour or so, and you need to reconnect to it. It can be annoying if you're working remotely and in the middle of a meeting.

It would be nice to have had some hangers or hooks on the wall, shower towels were quite thin and low quality. Not a lot of diversity when it came to the breakfast but good enough.
Room and bathroom were clean, heating works and I was never cold, shower also worked great! Bed was comfy. Kitchen option makes it cheaper to eat in this town

The place is great for a short stay. Breakfast is good, everything is clean and the bed is comfortable. The location is great close to the restaurants and supermarket. Bus station is 1.7 kilometers away. Highly recommend 👌

The social area wasn't very social and it was very hot and stuffy in the room. Also if someone else is using the shower at the same time as you it goes cold.
Really comfy beds, friendly and helpful staff, good location, lovely breakfast in the morning.

Simple hostel with nice staff located near many restaurants and within walking distance from bus stop. The place and breakfast are simple, good value for money and totally fine for a few nights. Equipped with kitchen to use.

The dorm room was really cramped and an interior room which received no direct light or fresh air. There were 8 beds in a very small space which was very stuffy. There weren’t enough showers or toilets for the number of people.
Staff were excellent, breakfast was good and location was excellent. Nice sitting/dining room and kitchen.

The maintenance of the room and specifically the bathroom need improvement. The door of the bathroom was broken, and the bad was extremely soft. The common kitchen is in a lack of cooking equipment and also feels not very clean.
The location is good and also the staff are very friendly.

We had our room directly next to the breakfast room/reception, so we weren't able to sleep anymore from 5:30 am on, because it was super loud.
The rooms are totally fine, especially for that absolute fair price.

Sadly the wifi only seemed to work when you're sitting in the breakfast (eating) area. No selves in the room next to your bed for your personal items. No reading light next to the bed. No ventilation in our dorm, when you have 6 people sleeping there rest assured you need fresh air. Sadly no free towel.
The staff are extremely helpful. The bathrooms are extremely clean. Immaculate The accommodation is a 3 min walk to the main street. Showers - Hot water (Superb) Free breakfast is a good touch 👌 Free bag storage which is necessary 👌 Overall the accommodation was extremely clean and I would 100% rebook this hostel /accommodation 👍

Some problems with opening/closing front door. Door handle of the bathroom door needs to be replaced. No hot water one evening. Chairs and clothes hangers in the room needed.
Friendly staff. Located within the walking distance of the main street of El Calafate with lots of places to eat and shop. Simple breakfast included in the price.

The door handles for room & bathroom need replacing. Got locked in the bathroom multiple times & basically had to barge the door of the room open to get in. Pretty expensive for what you get.
Great location. The bread provided for included breakfast was delicious!! The kitchen was a great size & always clean for cooking
