Clean and modern, location was not super central but not bad - 7 min taxi to Puerto Madero. The staff was absolutely lovely and made our stay a lot better! Breakfast was nice and the pool is a good touch on the sunny days.

Noisy extractor fan woke us up around 6am. We paid for breakfast but it was quite poor value and badly explained by the reception staff. We were told there was a continental option and a more expensive cooked one but there was only the more expensive one

Roberto on reception could not have been more helpful. As it was our first visit to Argentina he explained everything we needed to know from sights to visit, to currency exchange. Hotel had everything we needed and was perfectly located in San Telmo to experience cultural elements of Buenos Aires.

Room could be improved, e.g. curtains had some holes in it, and the fan in the bathroom is automatic (meaning you cannot turn it off) and quite noisy. While reception confirmed is not on during the night, we were hoping to get some sleep during the day and having the noise on for 30 minutes at a time was not the best.

We were in Buenos Aires for 12 hours between flights and wanted to spend the day in San Telmo. The hotel gave us the opportunity to rest and freshen up. Bed was definitely comfortable. Overall the hotel was OK for what we paid for and the outside yard with the pool looked nice for the warmer months!

I was very satisfied with the accommodation in this hotel. The hotel staff was extremely helpful, everything was clean, the room service was every day, breakfast was ok, and the location in the San Telmo neighborhood was also very nice. It was around 30 minutes walk to the city center, which is a bit far, but the hotel is near the bus stop, the historical Plaza Dorrego, and the San Telmo market. All in all, I can Ribera Sur Hotel highly recommend.

The rooms are a bit run down and very dark. Not nice to stay during the day. The small window I had was very dirty. Breakfast was okay but don't expect too much. Toast and a lot of sweet stuff. The coffee was good however. The location is close to San Telmo Market but otherwise not very nice. In front of the hotel is a very busy road with a lot of pollution. There are also some shady people around, so maybe make sure you are in a group after dark.

The location is close to Puerto Madero, which is convenient. My room was to the patio, so it was very quiet. The bed was large and comfortable. The place was very clean and there was daily housekeeping. The shower was very good with hot water. Tap water was drinkable. The 24h reception is a plus. Staff were mostly nice. WiFi was great, as was the lounge in the basement.

The receptionist as I check in told me the breakfast was included. Then as I was eating breakfast, another receptionist came up to my table to tell me they'd charge me for the breakfast, since it wasn't included. In the end, they didn't charge me for the breakfast, which was not included. The breakfast itself was mostly pastries, and I really wanted eggs. To sum up: if you want eggs, do not pay the additional $11 for breakfast.

The hotel met all my needs. I'd never been to BA before and this hotel was recommended in the NYT. It is close to the Sunday market in San Telmo. Still, most of the things I wanted to see were in Recoleta, so I wound up taking an Uber every day. That said, the hotels there may have been more expensive than the additional cost of the ride.

I expected a bit more from breakfast. It is quite essential and not really well presented. Also, when something was missing it took a while for the staff to restock.

Nice hotel in a good location, just outside San Telmo. The room was spacious and clean, with all the necessary amenities and the staff was helpful in several situations. There is also a small swimming pool in the backyard, which is nice and well-curated.

Rooms could have been a bit cleaner, and my room was more run-down than expected; but then again I think this is just down to age. Not a deal-breaker.

Lovely and helpful staff who were more than happy to book taxis, look after luggage before/after checkin/checkout. Simple but nice breakfast and comfortable rooms with good air conditioning and good hot water. Felt very safe thanks to the security guard at the entrance, especially being a solo traveller.

The hotel is a little rough round the edges, the bathroom could do with a bit of a makeover as the shower flooded the room as the seal around the door wasn’t good. As others have said, the room is super small - we had large backpacks which we put right by the bedside table so they were less in the way but if you had a suitcase I’m not sure how you’d open it easily. Some of the front desk staff aren’t very friendly (the girl with the shaved side of her head was lovely though). No real deal breakers but if you want a big room this hotel is not for you.

The hotel was pleasant, clean and some of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice (but confusing as to what you could order if you spoke only a little Spanish!). The location is a short walk away from Puerto Madero and Plaza Dorrego and convenient for a taxi to the Colonia Express ferry terminal. The air con was quiet and worked really well.
