How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There was no one on reception at arrival and it took a while for them to answer the buzzer. Once they did, they were extremely helpful
The room was new and spotlessly clean. The staff were extremely helpful and made me a plate of food when it turned out that the shops in town had closed early

Every thing was great.
Clean, comfortable, delicious breakfast and above all the most wonderful staff. They were so helpful and attentive. Truly made our stay memorable! Not to mention, wonderful local wine in the rooms!

23-Hotel exceeded my expectations! I chose to stay there because it is not far from the airport (15-minute) driving, easy parking, and a good price. The property looks fairly new and has a hardwood floor in the lobby and all rooms. It was super clean and the linens were of high quality. The complimentary wines made by the owner's family were very tasty. Check-in was very easy. It is a small hotel but they provide free breakfast - how nice. Keep up the good work and thank you!

They were extremely helpful by accepting my bicycle and putting it in my room before I arrived, which was really late. They left my key ready. They also booked a big van for the next morning. They were really good at going the extra mile for my complicated trip.

The need to make a last minute booking in Vienna meant I chose this hotel, despite it being a little further from the airport than I would have liked. But maybe it was a fortunate opportunity, because it is a lovely, intimate hotel, with comfortable rooms, beautiful bathrooms & a delicious breakfast.

The method of organization of sleeping place (by my opinion) might be better. I don't like beds, combined from two of smaller size. And combination of wardrobes and bedside tables also seems to me not comfortable.
Good hotel for a short stays not far from airport. Very helpful staff. Cozy, quiet and clean place. Excellent douche cabin. Good to have free of charge drinking water in the room and also free of charge tee at dining facility.

Fantastic staff and easy access to the airport. Immuculate hotel with comfortable beds and a great shower. The staff was very accomodating and arranged for a taxi at 4 am to the airport. Unfortunately we were too early for breakfast but we did enjoy the small bottle complimentary wine in the from the owners winery.

If you are tired after the flight, want to get to bed ASAP, and have enough money to spare, pick one of the brand hotels in walking distance from the airport building, as it still takes some time to get to this hotel.
Amazing, caring staff. Nice, cosy environment, good breakfast, close to the airport. I have decided to rely on myself in getting to the hotel from the airport and that was a wrong decision. If you are a first-timer, contact the hotel and ask how to arrive to their place, you’ll save money and time. I will definitely go there next time when I am traveling through Vienna airport and have to stay overnight.

This hotel is quiet and clean. The staff are sincere and kind. In particular, bedding and other items for internal use are fully equipped. Highly recommend to consider this hotel when traveling.

I was happy with everything we experienced.
Our Host was a wonderful woman and very accomodating to our needs. Due to air travel issues our plane arrived late in Vienna and we were able to contact her ahead of time to arrange a late check in and she scheduled a taxi for the following morning for us. Even cooked our eggs to our preference for breakfast. Great value, great facilities and a wonderful staff.
