How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The TV is not very international for a skiing area - and also not a smart TV
Breakfast was very good - lots of choices - the rooms were great - we had a balcony as well. And a seperate toilet which is always a bonus

Beds were small.

Despite functionality, the hotel was impersonal and without much character. Sauna and fitness center was below expectations. Without the car, or a long walk, it was not possible to reach the ski lifts.I thought the price-value relationship was not good enough.
I found the hotel clean and functional. The rooms are nice size. It was nice to be able to walk to St.Johann. The breakfast was ok and the personnel was friendly.

The only thing missing was air conditioning, especially during the mid summer months!
The staff were lovely, and there's plenty to do in the hotel. If you're travelling with someone in the next room, the divider on the balcony can be fully opened to create one larger balcony area!

I didn’t enjoy my balcony as much as I would have liked because of people smoking next door. Smoking should not be allowed anywhere, including balconies and the restaurant terrace.
A nice, comfortable hotel in a great location. The room was clean and nicely appointed. The breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent. And the staff were all very friendly, welcoming and professional.

Skilift next to the hotel is no longer operating. It was still possible to ski all the way to the hotel.

Room was slightly different than advertised, no desk in our room. Noise isolated also wasn't great, could hear conversations of the people next to us and above us

there is no near ski lifts as shown on maps.it’s not 100 m from ski lifts definitely you need to take free bus to the st. Johann ski lifts or train to kitzbühel or drive your car. Free parking at st.johann with ski pass.
good breakfast with many options, clean all over the hotel, ski room with assigned lockers and easy access, free car parking and they give you a city-card which has free use and discount options like ski pass discount at kitzbühel. Room has very nice balcony. Lovely staff..

Very friendly and helpful staff made us welcome. The hotel is exceptionally clean and well equipped - everything g we could want for a ski holiday.

Very hot in the room, the temperature control does not work properly, even when we turned it down for the night. Internet works poorly, if you need to work or use the internet often, it is not recommended to stay in this place. We had problems with WiFi every day. We would like the hotel to improve the cleanliness. We found false eyelashes in our bed and our glasses in the room were dirty.
