The double bed had a gap in the middle, it was a bit cold, the heat would stop in the middle of the night, the road had a toll(tax 17 euroes) that you had to pay at least once and then they give you a voucher to pass the other times, the water in the shower would suddenly become very hot and it was difficult to get the right temperature

The check in was very easy, breathtaking views, balcony, 2 kitchens well equipped, friendly staff, overall a decent stay, the location was good for visiting hallstat or wolfgang , dachstein and even a bit further away sky ladder and eisreisenwelt

Whenever you enter the valley, you have to pay a fee for the alpine road (it's pretty annoying, as you have to pay 12€ on the southern entry, and even 16€ on the northern entry). So if you plan to do a trips in the nearby areas, be prepared for this additional fee.

Wonderful area with awesome views, plenty of wildlife. The accomodation is very nice and you can find there anything you need.

A lovely hotel set in a stunning area of Austria. The shared kitchen facility was a brilliant option as being located where it is, being able to cook food yourself was brilliant. I would say it would be worthwhile to do a food shop before travelling up to the hotel!

Everything was perfect.

The location is amazing, the view from the room is breathtaking. And they are pet friendly! Having a common kitchen wasn’t a problem at all, it is spacious. The bonus is full fridge of drinks, you can take whatever you need and just leave the money for it (very symbolic prices). The accomodation has it’s own sauna, which we enjoyed in the evenings after the hikes. All in all, a place to reccomend. The owner is very responsive, was helpful in many ways when we needed.

The location of Alpenrose in Postalm is idyllic. If you love mountains, peace and you are not bothered by cowbells, this is the place for you. And just a five-minute walk along the mountain lawn will kindly prepare a good breakfast or afternoon meal in the neighboring mountain hut. The panoramic road from the valley is tolled, but only for the first transport. In the cottage you can get a certificate that together with the first bill provides free use of the road.

I have nothing negative about this acomondation.

We loved that place, so quiet, so nice, so amazing. We have enjoyed our stay and we will definitely come back. If you want to enjoy nature and not so much people, you shoud go to this hotel. Even thougt there is no restaurant in Alpenrose, there is many other around and one is realy close and all places are dog friendly :)

The rooms are clean and tidy. Shared large kitchen fully equipped with dishes and everything you need. Beautiful view from the balcony of the room. Helpful and kind host who welcomed us and always took care of what we need. We are very satisfied with the whole stay

Had to pay not a small fee for entry to the accommodation location which was not mentioned before booking.

The payed road up the mountain. The first time you have to pay before you go up (€17). Upon arrival you will get a free pass for the road up from Wolfgangsee. If you go up the mountain the other way you will still have to pay (€13) to go up.

The location was great but it takes a while before you are up the mountain.

unacceptable that was no mention of the private toll road in the description of hotel. the first message we received after booking explicitly mentions the fee however, so the listing has been made deceiving on proposal. information like this has to be mentioned on listing clearly.
