Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere is not much in the village of St Christoph itself, other than hotels, so there’s no option to pop to a shop (unless it’s ski hire/equipment). We skied into St Anton for the pharmacy and supermarket. There is a large hotel currently undergoing refurbishment, which was apparently a family hotel. This being closed meant that there were hardly any children in the resort, so booking in group lessons for the kids at ski school wasn't as straightforward as we had expected. For us, we would have enjoyed having more children in the resort. The only negative was the level of comfort of the sofa bed for the kids. Ours didn’t find it comfortable. The access to the slopes is great. It’s a ski in ski out location and just a short walk to the nearest ski hire, or if chairlift if you prefer to walk.
The Alpenhotel is a delight. The staff are incredibly warm and hospitable and make you feel really welcome. They are friendly and helpful throughout your stay. The hotel is immaculately clean and well managed. The spa area is wonderful after a day on the mountain and enough space for guests to feel comfortable and have different options; whether is steaming, using the sauna, jacuzzi or relaxing on the lounger beds. The dinner is a very important feature of the hotel and if you’re looking for a quick evening meal then this probably isn’t the place for you. The dinner has the option of four courses and is varied and delicious. You are able to make your choices for the evening meal at breakfast time and there is the option of a children’s menu. We enjoyed a magnificent New Year’s Eve feast and the hotel really pulled out all the stops with the décor and entertainment. It was fun for the kids too - we all had a lovely time. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

United KingdomWe stayed here seven years ago and came back because it was good. The hotel, pleasant staff and location were all as good, or better, than we remembered. The chef, Alex, has lifted the food to excellent and much kudos to him and the whole team.

United KingdomThe only negative really is that the hotel is in a very small village with not much to do around if the weather was poor (as it was for us).
The hotel was fabulous, large comfortable room, nice bar and the food in the restaurant was exceptional. Service throughout was really good and the staff delightful. Spa was great with decent facilities and I had a massage which was top 3 I've had (proper sports massage). You can virtually ski out and the lift is 100m away. very convenient.

GermanyWine price it is a very high for this country I think could list wine with a couple more options and sauna there are a lot of naked men in the sauna, and for a person with a different culture and upbringing, this is not acceptable. In the description of the hotel, must write to the sauna only naked then I would not take such a one, just spent the money and could not go
Food location pet friendly

AustriaThere is barely enough parking (+ the garage is rather tight).
Wonderful location, high up in the mountains (almost 6000ft). Close to the ski runs ⛷ of the amazing Arlberg region (St Anton, Lech etc.), good breakfast, afternoon snacks and multi-course dinner. Many wine options, especially good selection for Austrian wines.
