Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Austriait was kinda „dirty“, there were some stains on the rug but it‘s a hotel, that‘s completely normal in my opinion.
for 65€ we got more than what I was expecting: one room with a double bed, an extra room with 3 comfortable seats & a table and a private bathroom with a shower and a bathtub. was really pretty

EstoniaThere was no hairdryer or kettle in the room, which was in the description. Breakfast was a disappointment - instant coffee prepared in a thermos, sandwich material and a boiled egg, one morning there was also a warm egg dish, the other not. Breakfast would no longer be taken at the hotel, but rather at one of the many cafes nearby. Unfortunately, the yard was not yet ready to sit there either. There is perspective to clean up and make some improvements.
A bit tired hotel (dirty carpet, torn wallpaper), but the location is quite good. The beds were comfortable.

Unbeatable price for central Vienna. The freaking train ticket from the airport to the city was more expensive.

AustriaThere were bugs in the bed and the sheets stank of smoke! The radiator was broken and so hot and couldn’t be turned off! The toilet was disgusting, with a moldy trashcan and holes in the ceiling! The pin code for the door didnt work at night and no one opened or was reachable on the phone! We couldnt get in! After trying for a while to get in or call someone from the hotel, another guest came per chance and we could get in. Otherwise we probably would have waited outside all night!!

Bosnia and HerzegovinaI was given a different room than the one I booked and saw on picture. Stuff at reception desk was rude from the beginning and accusing me of being rude to them.I tried to explain that is their mistake of not giving the name change Booking. The name of hotel Mariahilf was changed into Raimundhor before coming. It was difficult to find hotel due to name change. I waste time and money in searching for hotel with taxi. There are more hotels with name Mariahilfer. We were following adress and were not able to find hotel while there was a different name. Girl working at reception is not polite. She told me DO NOT ARGUE WITH ME. She behaved as I should appoligiese to her. I was disgusted with her. Hotel should appoligise to customers for not stating on Booking a name change. Others had difficulties finding a hotel too. . At the end she convinced us that we should follow adress to find hotel. Well, taxi was on adress but we still were driving in circles because it was a different name. There is a code door lock at the main door. I do not find a hotel secure. There was no coffee maker in room. I asked for one. It was stated on booking that there was one in room. Stuff was accusing me of being rude to them and helping me as if doing something for me and helping out. Basicly was giving what I was supposed to have at first place. Hotel itself is pretty old and ruined. On picture of room that I booked was two separate beds. I booked the room and I was given another similar room. ALL IN ALL, I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Croatia🛑 Old dirty hotel with shady service. Has a reputation for a bedbugs here on google maps. 🕷 The hotel changed it's name on Booking.com to get rid of the bad reputation reviews 🥷 There it is called Mariahilf center hotel. We lost money here. Did not got a refund. Bedbugs are very hard and expensive to get rid of. Security and hyegiene is also a problem here. We decided not to stay here.
