How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

When we checked in the electric kettle in our room had brown stains in it. When we asked for a new one we only got it the next day. But the people at the reception gave us then hot water to drink when we went down and asked. The employee in the night shift was a bit impolite and made a face before heating and giving some water from the kettle in the bar.
The room was clean, beds were comfortable and there was no noise at night. Slept well. The location is a bit far from the Centre for a short trip but there are 2-3 good bus connections.

Very helpful staff and free parking. We arrived with a 3 years old child and the team landed us a travel bed with all equipment. Also, we could park the car until after the checkout time which was very useful.

1. Cleaning of room was average. Same mugs used to drink milk in the morning were left like that by staff without replacement or washing. 2. Bathroom light is so strong that it shines directly towards bedroom making it hard for the other person to sleep. 3. Room booking said mini bar included but didn't see it in room. 4. Room telephone not working and despite mentioning at reception, wasn't fixed. 5. Could hear sounds from other room despite room description saying soundproofing.

Was far out of the city but very easily accessible by bus. Wouldn't turn on aircon as room was hot, particularly as the shower was in the room and only had a small window.
Very comfortable. Best shower I've ever had (rainfall). Was strange that the shower and toilet were in the room. Comfy beds and pillows.

Booked a room with one double bed but received two single beds pushed together - and they even had weels so we drifted apart like ice floes during climate change.
Good location, good value for money, large hotel with 24h reception so nothing outstanding but everything you need for a night. Rooms much larger than usual!

The room is not very close to the Central Station but still easily reached by buses. Early check in is not possible or €15 will be charged
The staff are friendly and eager to help. The room is spacious and there's a bathtub in the bathroom. I was surprised there is a sauna in the hotel which opens till late! It was a relaxing experience!

the bus stop is right next to the hotel and if you planning to go to halstat then you will get it at the bus stop next to hotel.

The room was large enough to accommodate 4 people (3 adults - 1 kid) comfortably. It is close to 2 different bus stops. We stayed for 1 night. That's why i have no further comment. :)
