Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. PolandA few small tips for the host to make a stay for another guests perfect. For someone who doesn’t use a garage it's not obvious that the boxes with keys are in the garage. I lost 30 minutes trying to find keys. I called the host a few minutes after 9 pm - noone answered. I sent an SMS- no reply. The whole situation was for us extremely stressful. Moreover the TV hasn't found any chanels. I tried many times, many options and nothing was found. What's more a password to WiFi is written very uncler. It took us another 30 mins to quess what is the unclear symbol. It would be lovely if more coffee was available 🙂
This was the first time when I didn't need to clean the kettle, the pots and a frying pan before the usage. Everything was clean and ready to use. The apartament is big and comfortable. Big bathtub - relaxing baths every day. All needed equipment in place. Very quiet place and neighbours. Great location - around 10 minutes to the beginning of Hochalpenstrasse. The city is lovely, so in spite of Hochalpenstrasse you can enjoy the beauty of the village as well. The heating was working so it was warm inside the apartament. During the stay you can read books which are available at the reception.

UkraineThe apartment is generally good, but I have never met such a bad attitude towards the client. The impression is that by staying in this hotel you have become subordinate to its owner. This manifested itself in many moments. 1. Immediately after booking and paying for apartments online, the owner sent a message that we must to arrive from 16:00 to 19:00, otherwise there will be a fine of 15 Euros. This is despite the fact that they have the ability to settle independently at any time through the key box. 2. Also, after paying for apartments, the owner wrote that we will have to pay a cash deposit of 100 Euros in case something breaks in the room. But this was not in the rules before I paid for the apartment! I was not going to make any bail, but at the last moment the owner wrote that his housekeeper was ill and so we can settle down on our own. So there was no one to take the bail ) 3. The room was cold for the first 4-5 hours, until the heating warmed up properly. Nobody turned it on in advance. 4. There is a dishwasher in the room, but no tablets for it. Even the cheapest. When asked about these tablets, the owner said that we should buy them ourselves (when the only store nearby is closed) or we must wash all the dishes by hand :-) 5. The washing machine did not work. First, because access to water was blocked. Then, as it turned out, due to the fact that the washing machine door does not close well. We found out on our own through Google and the possible breakdown of this washing machine model. Our room was 31. 6. In the parking lot in the basement all the places were free. In the parking scheme, each parking space belongs to a specific apartment. But our 31st number was not there. We decided to park the car closer to the entrance to carry the suitcases closer. We were accused of parking incorrectly as result )
Good location, nice view from the window. High and comfortable bed. Some elements of the room are made in the old style.

Czech RepublicThere was a lovely service lady who gave us the keys at check-in and collected them after our stay. However, she only speks German. But with a little effort, we realised that that's not really a problem.
The room was big and cozy, the beds were very comfortable. The place had all the kitchenware you could possibly want and all utilities, including a coffee machine, toaster, sandwitch maker, kettle etc... You start feeling just like you are at home (but the home is in a beautiful village in the Alps). Our stay here was lovely. 100% recommend.
