Not the property’s issue but the entire town pretty much closes for the night at 1800. Very strange.

Very large and nice apartment. Great location. Comes with a parking spot which is a huge plus in Hallstatt where parking is limited.

Many restaurants, shops and supermarket near the apartment (within walking distance). Walking distance to Salzwelten and Sky Walk. Very clean, spacious and comfortable apartment. 1 room with a double bed and 2nd room with a single bed, kitchen with oven, stove, microwave and fridge, dining area and living room. Owner of apartment is very friendly and helpful. She offered to send us to the train station (opposite side of lake) when we check out.

Everything! Monique was super nice and went out of her way to make sure we’re comfortable and had everything we needed. She even offered and drove us to the train station in the morning. It’s super clean and the pillows and duvet was super soft and top quality. It’s definitely a home away from home.

Monique, the hostess, was fantastic. She works just a few metres from the Apartments - you call the number posted and she comes to meet you and shows you through the place. It's absolutely perfect. It's at the end of the main area of Hallstatt - just in front is a park (very fun things for kids) with a green space to relax outside. The apartment was huge, clean, quiet, and so comfortable.

The overall stay was great. Some additional things that may help another traveler to plan accordingly: It was missing some amenities like the iron box, we searched for it ourselves but didn’t ask Monica. The TV had local channels mostly and wasn’t connecting to the internet. So plan to carry your own device if you don’t speak the local language. There was no AC or fan and it got really hot while we were there. It is possible this might be an unusual temperature for Hallstatt.

Days prior to arrival, when I had emailed twice through Booking, there was no response. Finally, my friend called and spoke with the landlady.

The landlady met us and gave the key and showed us around. The apartment is very clean. The location close to the lake is wonderful. There is parking, and the area is residential, so away from the very touristy area.

The website spoke of payment with credit card which is why i booked the property. However there was no credit card availability and I had to scramble to get cash for making the payment.
