How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Not much, but my parents were would have liked if the toilet was not separate from the bath. Also, there is only one bathroom in the apartment.
The apartment is very spacious and comfortable and the hosts are extremely nice. The beds and couches are very comfortable and the art from the owners is a plus. There were some dishwashing and washing machine soap tabs which were very useful.

Great location with groceries just down the road and the tram stop a few minutes walk away. Parking garage space was also available. Kitchenette fully equipped even with spices which made it very convenient. The studio apartment was spacious and well lit. Julia was very helpful and accommodating to answer all our questions as well Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Vienna!

Nothing - it was wonderful.
Very comfortable, clean, spacious, and stylish studio in a lovely neighbourhood. Very convenient for the old city centre, which is 20 minute walk or short tram ride way. Lots of art galleries and restaurants in the area. Highly recommend!

Whilst easily accessible by car it is quite a long walk from the city centre (50mins). However, we were aware of this when booking the flat and the price is commensurate-to-good value so really not an issue.
Clean and well-appointed flat. Nice and welcoming host. Quiet and safe location, not too far from the centre of Vienna by taxi.

The apartment is in perfect condition, very clean, definitely a good choice if you have allergies. The dishwasher and garage are a big bonus. Working from the apartment (home office) works perfectly as the apartment is in a quiet neighborhood. The bed is really comfortable and the little touches of decoration show the host cares for the apartment. The photos are accurate, all listed amnesties are in the apartment and working. Communication with the host is fast and uncomplicated. Highly recommended!

We stayed in December - it was great heating in the apartment, but the entrance doors were very poorly isolated, so the cold air was entering making the kitchen & one bedroom much colder.
Stylish apartment, very well equipped. Spacious rooms. Ground floor, so very convenient. Good location, very close to the subway. Parking spots on site but quite small ones, so with VW passat, we parked in the underground parking of the supermarket (close to apartment). Very easy check in, super nice host who welcomed us. We arrived 2h ahead of time and there was no problem to check in earlier at no extra cost. Thank you!

We had a great stay. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It is very close to train and metro station. We have received very useful information when we arrived including which places to visit and how to get there.

The bed’s pillows aren’t so comfy. And most importantly the bathroom has no window nor vent (or at least we didn’t find it).
I really appreciated all the little details such as the hairdryer diffuser, the binder containing the most useful infos, the slippers and the umbrella. Plus the location permits to go downtown in few minutes.

Personally, I think having some coffee and milk would have been a nice touch for people arriving. Sofa bed isn't the most comfortable of beds.
Nice and airy. Good location, 2 train stations within 10 minute walk. Supermarkets and shops close by.. Bed was comfortable. Facilities good.

Great location, very good apartments with great amenities for your comfort. Exquisite artwork made by Mr. Lomani, all around the place. Great courtyard which can be use for an early coffee of a late glass of wine if you are visiting Wien on summer season.

Very clean and comfortable apartment in a great neighborhood of Vienna. The city center is easy to reach by tram or the subway. Julia provided us with many tips and she was extremely helpful! We had a great stay and we would definitely go back!

Apartment is rather cold this time of year, but there are really warm blankets here. Also water in the shower turns cold after 5 min and boiler needs some time to heat it again.
You have almost everything you need for comfortable stay in this apartment (different kitchen tools, dishwasher, washing machine etc). Good location.

Julia is a fantastic host! Upon reservation, she will send you all the information you need to make sure your stay in the apartment and in Vienna goes smoothly. The apartment we stayed in was very spacious and cozy, we loved the wooden floor, the big windows, the decoration made by her husband, and the very comfy bed. The location is very quiet, only 10 minutes walking distance from the tram and metro bringing you to the center. On Saturday, walk 5 minutes to the street "Kutschkermarkt" (an outdoor market street), and have a wonderful brunch at the Himmelblau café!

It was impossible to connect to the WIFI, which was making the stay very uncomfortable. It was not only me, who couldn't connect to it, but other guests also. I didn't have internet possibility on my phone and if one of the other guests wasn't helpful I could never contact the owner to get the key password or use the luggage room. A little bit far from the city center, but about a 10-15 minute walk to the transport stations, so not bad.
The design, atmosphere, cleanliness, the bed, and the cleaning lady were amazing. The owner also was nice about responding to the letters quickly. There was a luggage room, which I used until the check-in time, and that was extremely useful.
