How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It wasn’t as central as other but we knew this in booking - quieter neighbourhood 25 mins walk to centre or €10 taxi

The building was under renovation, so I was a little anxious to go through the main entrance.
breakfast and room were excellent! Location : very good, but I prefer the central part (region 1) , which is easier to go/come to concerts at night, etc.

The only and not that significant drawback for me was the location — a little far away in relation to the main attractions and sights. Thus, it is inconvenient to be always on foot, you need to use public transport.
My stay at this hotel was wondrous! The staff is amiable, polite and always willing to help. The rooms are clean, quite and comfortable, the interior is pleasant. The breakfast is various enough and delicious. The hotel is located literally in a 2-minute walk to the metro station. Additionally, I have not encountered any problems with water and Wi-Fi.

I wish the bar had a small menu for late night snacks, but that’s not really a negative—more of a wish! Bathroom in basic level room was very small.
Clean rooms, private parking, close to metro. Cute bar and delicious breakfast. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Nothing everything was perfect
The hotel was amazing and the staff were so helpful and friendly The location was perfect and the breakfast was varied and really good quality.The room was comfortable and clean The staff really made the stay enjoyable and I would recommend this hotel as a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay .Thank you for a great visit

Some refurbishment was taking place inside and outside.Guess it was the time that we came so not too bothered
Location was fantastic.Close to the trains and Hop on hop off was 5 minutes walk with close proximity Viennese Ferris Wheel to .Lots of cafes and food outlets near by. Staff were excellent thank you Samy and team!!! Oh forgot to mention the yummy breakfast too :-)

Amenities in the bathroom.

We had no negatives about the hotel
The hotel is in a good location. We liked the fact we had to walk from there to the river and it is ideally situated for the underground. Although the property was being refurbished and the street was also undergoing works this did not in any way distract from the beauty of this old building. Having breakfast included in the price is a bonus these days.

I couldn't fault this hotel
Everything. The hotel was lovely and traditional. The service was fantastic. Each member of the staff made you feel a welcome guest. The room was excellent and the location was close to the Prater and the train/underground station. Probably one of the best I've ever stayed in.

Amazing breakfast, one of the best if I have to be honest. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room had amazing ambiance. Let's don't forget about the location, 3 min walk to S-Bahn and 3 min walk to the metro makes everything easy to reach, you can buy Wien pass cards in the lobby provided by the great staff!
