You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

NetherlandsThe room and the bathroom is a bit compact. When you setup the shower walls, we can barely walk in. But we were mostly soaking in the view in here. You can request for hot water in the morning for a small charge. We brought a thermostat bottle. There’s no kettle in the room. Last bus from Hallstatt to Obertraun was at 7pm. Trains were down for maintenance that week. So, do checkout the timing via OBB app.
The view is mesmerising. Waking up, and looking into the mountains and lake while in the bed is a wonderful feeling. We rented a bike from the only bike rental station in Obertraun, and did a bike ride to the Hallstatt. The views along the lake are breathtaking. 1 day rental is upto 8pm. There’s a nice park next to the hotel, and also a restaurant. It’s a small town though, so we didn’t aim for lot of food varieties.

United StatesSlight mixup with the checkin process as the key for our second room was not in the lockbox but later found still in the door of the room. In the end it was not a big deal. But it did cause some 15 minutes of uncertainty and confusion with nobody at reception to assist.

If you ask for hot water to drink and the answer is only tomorrow and for a fee, if they charge 12 euros for parking, without an advance note at the time of booking, then that is what counts.

United Arab EmiratesBreakfast cost is steep. When you opt out of breakfast, there isn’t even an option for hot water so that we can make our own tea / coffee in the morning. A provision for electric kettle can solve this.
Firstly. Fantastic location. Just across the lake from Hallstatt. Very peaceful with good walks around. Even though the facility does not have a restaurant, there are great options around. Though there was a bit of a mix up while checking in, it was sorted out pretty fast.
