Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNo fridge or comfortable chair in the room. Outside windows need a good clean. Breakfast is extra, 12 euro per night. I didn’t bother with it. The hotel is opposite student accommodation and is surrounded by tall buildings. Some of these are not yet finished. The building next door is new, but empty, it looks as though it has been that way for some time.
Big room, wifi ok, location about 10 minutes walk from Wien Hbf. There is a Billa supermarket along the Blöch-Bauer Promenade for anything you might need to buy.

GermanyAlmost nothing. The only thing I would have liked to know before is that there isn’t an easy option to have coffee without having a full breakfast.
The hotel was comfortable, located close to the train station (15 minute walk), and therefore well suited to a stay for a conference.

North Macedoniathe windows were very dirty, the curtains were very dark.. maybe light curtains would be better, not to use the lights during the day (since across the building there were other apartments and a garage) and the noise from the heating was running up all night, even when turned off..
i liked the lobby, and the comfortable bed

IndiaThere is nothing in the immediate vicinity of the location of the hotel. You have to walk to the main station for everything. Except for Anya, who was exceptionally helpful and gave me wonderful suggestions, the other reception staff was cold and curt. They did not have basic answers to common questions, neither did they bother to find out.
Nice new modern hotel. Location is walkin distance to the central haubanhauf main station. A huge Mall as well as train connections to various cities are available from the station which makes the hotel location great if you are traveling. On the other side of the station are good restaurants

United StatesRooms are not terribly big; might feel cramped for two people traveling but very comfortable for one. Pretty sparse amenities in the room (no fridge, no microwave).
Very nice hotel, new (in 2024), easily walkable from Vienna Hbf (be sure to exit the platform towards Karl Popper, not the other way), and easy to get to the "Innerstadt" by taking the subway from nearby Keplerplatz (where there are also many restaurants, mostly Turkish). On a very quiet, pedestrianized street. Also two supermarkets walking distance.

NetherlandsBreakfast was expensive compared with the price of the room, so we did not get it. However, there were a lot of other options in the neighbourhood.
Nice and clean hotel at a convenient location near the Wien Hbf train station. The area is packed with students and young families in all the newly built apartments around. Not very close to the touristic center, but after a 10 minutes walk you can reach a commercial street with a metro station and some nightlife as well. Definitely a great deal for the price.

FranceWhen I booked the breakfast no one told me that dogs were not allowed. As a result when I arrived the next day with my dog a lady that barely speak English told me dogs were not allowed in this area. I had to leave my coffee served and my tray of food and leave my dog in the bedroom :( Next time I am having breakfast at a place where dogs are welcomed
It is located near the train station, so quite practical. In the recepton the personnel was nice and helpful

AustriaEverything was fine, but I have an anecdote: The receptionist was very friendly, but there was a communication problem when he didn't understand one of my questions. He gave me a choice of room facing the front or the back of the hotel. I didn't know what was the difference, so I asked him (in German) which of the two areas was quieter. He understood that I was asking if he was going to give me a quiet room ("yes, I'll give you a quiet room!"), and we had a tiny tussle; me rephrasing my question in different ways, and him getting it wrong every time answering the same a bit louder every time. In the end I gave in and decided randomly, because I didn't want him to get mad at me, haha. He wasn't rude, but there was a moment that became a bit uncomfortable. Maybe he had the pattern of questions and answers so set in his mind that he didn't understand if I asked him something else. Btw, there is not much difference from the front to the back of the hotel. Through the windows from the front of the hotel, you see another building. And at the back, there is no backyard, It is just a normal small road and a parking on the other side. And just for you to know, in the room there are towels, soap and body wash but there was no shampoo.
The room was nice, clean, the bed was comfortable and the place was quiet. At the reception they gave you the choice if you wanted the room near or far from the lift. I really liked the place!

Czech RepublicI requested a clothes iron from the lady at the front desk, but she informed me that it wasn't permitted to have irons in the rooms. Instead, I was instructed to iron my clothes in the reception area, which struck me as an unusual practice given that guests were checking in nearby.
The location is 12 minutes by foot to Hbf Central. Check-in was easy. Rooms have basic amenities. The price is pretty affordable for hotels in Vienna.

FranceThe main problem for me was the absence of restaurants in the vicinity. It's a 15-20 minutewalk to a street with many restaurants, but they're mostly chains which don't suit me. It's also a 10-15 minute walk to the business end of the station and the U-Bahn
