How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Mattress too soft, street noise. The noise is the trade off for being in the very centre.
Nice room, good price for the downtown. Good breakfast. Walking distance to Rathausplatz.

It was all good. One small issue is that it was a bit too hot for us.
Good location, within walking distance of the city centre and good links to public transport. A comfortable, clean, quiet hotel. The staff were all very pleasant. The continental breakfast was good.

There is no air conditioner
I would like to praise the hotel staff and especially Elina who gave a response and service above and beyond. Near the hotel there are transportation lines through which you can reach anywhere in the city quickly and easily.

The shower malfunctioned and very difficult to use. The bed, blankets and sheets are not comfortable.

Expensive breakfast. No tea or coffee making in room.
Friendly staff, good location, comfortable beds. There is no air conditioning, which might not suit some people but I enjoyed the fresh air in the open windows.

They do not guarantee you a place in their parking, the staff on our arrival day was not welcoming and was in a bad mood, the beakfast was poor.

The temperature was around 20 degree at night, the room was still hot although I opened the windows and turned on the fans. One of the shower sliding doors was partly broken.
Very convenient location, close to u-bahn, tram station and supermarket. Very nice and helpful staff. The laundromat didn't provide washing powder. She gave more than enough for the laundry. Decent price. I could use the spare space inside the fridge for fruits and water.

the room is good but may become excellent with little adjustment: relocation of the towels supports at a higher position and 2-3 hanger elements to allow hanging a pair of jeans or a baseball cap

There is no AC, som it can be hot in summer.
Breakfast was ok, continental but ok. The room was not big, but not small either. Its clean and the shower works. The area is quiet and resonably close to the city center. Staff is friendly

I couldn't get the television to work. The windows were difficult to close because of the amount of curtain.
The breakfast room was an enjoyable room to be in. The variety of food available was excellent

Breakfast is just so so. Value in terms of other Viena locations is probably good, but in global terms, it's quite expensive for such a basic room.
Clean, quiet room with very comfy bed. All the basic checkboxes are in place. The location is quite good, walking distance to main locations, the metro is close.

Unfortunately, no kettle in room so if you would like an early morning coffee you have to find one outside of the hotel.
Perfect location, within walking distance of the cultural centre of Vienna. Two minute walk to tram and U Bahn stop, making access to public transport and getting round the city easy.

it has been loud there, zu could hear the live on the street. The shower cubicle was a bit outdated, dire door did not slide shut easily

Breakfast was OK but probably could be better. Fresh croissants would have been nice rather than packet ones. However I would stay here again.
This hotel was good value for money for a stay in Vienna. 5 minutes walk to the nearest metro station and about 15 minutes walk to St Stephens Cathedral. Room comfortable and hotel located in a quiet area. Staff on reception were friendly.
