Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustriaThe bed was a bit squeaky, but it wasn't really an issue for me. Not a problem of the hotel per se, but I saw that the accessibility to the hotel (way of crossing street) isn't really wheelchair friendly, though that is just an observation of me and I am not a wheelchair user
The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast had a variety of options and my room wasn't too complicated to find. Would book again if possible.

AustraliaIt could do with a little update as the bathroom sink was stained, one of the towel were also and all the bathroom fixtures were beige.
This hotel was really close to the old town. It was 7 mins from the train station and minutes from the bus station. We chose to come here for a quick visit to Liechtenstein and it was perfect for that. The hotel has charm and is in an older style. The staff were helpful and the 12 euro breakfast had a lot of options and is half the price of many other places we’d stayed.

United KingdomShower head adjustment, only set at an angle. Confusing layout with various levels. Noise from work on the remodeling project. Roof beams in room create a low ceiling at points, not good during the night.
Friendly staff especially Sara on front desk. Close to old town, station and buses.

AustraliaThe hotel has Austrian charm with traditional pieces of furniture. There was a bath in the room. We enjoyed a reviving cup of tea outside in the beer garden. The location is excellent for walking to the town centre and railway station.

SwedenCould be a fridge and better quality shower gel/shampoo in the room as they felt quite harsh. Rooms are old but not so important.
Very comfortable bed, sheets, pillows. Very nice location, walking distance to the attractions of Feldkirch. The staff is helpful, they can provide a kettle or an iron if needed. The room had a nice balcony as well. Bus station is right in front if you want to reach Vaduz with a bus. Parking lot is available as well, if you're with a car. It's pet-friendly hotel as I've seen a couple of dogs chilling in the beer garden (but of course, ask the hotel just to be sure).

AustraliaI can only guess that if you book the ‘superior’ bedrooms you get aircon, whilst the ‘standard’ do not. They do nevertheless provide a pedestal fan, but if you want some fresh air you will have to open the windows and being on the main road the way too noisy.
It’s a great well maintained hotel with some history, secure parking and spacious bedrooms. The beer garden is handy and brekky is more than adequate. It’s within 5min walking distance into the historic town.

ItalyThe standout feature of my experience at this hotel was undoubtedly its super-friendly staff, whose genuine warmth and willingness to go the extra mile not only created a welcoming atmosphere but also added an extra layer of comfort and enjoyment to my stay. From the attentive front desk personnel who greeted me with smiles to the accommodating housekeeping team that ensured my room was always in top-notch condition, their exceptional service and positive attitude were consistently evident. Whether it was offering local recommendations, promptly addressing any inquiries, or simply sharing a friendly conversation, the staff's dedication to ensuring a memorable and pleasant stay truly set this hotel apart.

United KingdomCar parking isn't straightforward for the first time visitor - needs booking in advance (chargeable) which is fine, but pull in at the front first and get reception's map and directions around the one way road system. The spaces are fairly small so if you have a big car and the garage is busy getting in the space is like threading the eye of a needle! Have a companion to help you, regardless of parking assist or your aptitude for car parking!
Stayed overnight. Initially we saw a few reviews suggesting the hotel was dated, but that wasn't our experience at all. Everything was really good: room, staff, bar, breakfast, very clean everywhere and ample tourist information. It felt like a slick professional operation. We enjoyed it.

AustraliaThe hotel was situated on a fairly main road intersection and our bedroom windows opened onto another building. So air-conditioning would have been good.

GermanyThe breakfast did not catch our attention, so we walked 5-10 minutes in the city to get a amazing breakfast and even cheaper.
The room is bigger than the common hotels und pretty comfortable. We used this hotel as a stopover for our trip between Germany and Italy. It is a great option to stay near to the swiss border, without having to pay the expensive swiss frank. There was also a charging station for my e-car next to the hotel, so perfect.
