My husband found the shower cubicle was about 6” too small in all directions and the shower head didn’t work properly.

We booked here for two main reasons …. Firstly the view ( ….. which is spectacular to say the least!) and secondly it was Adults only as we didn’t want noisy children running around everywhere. The Hotel lived up to and in fact exceeded our expectations. The proprietor and his staff were so friendly, kind and professional …. they couldn’t have been more helpful.

The view was amazing, really good breakfast and we enjoyed our room that had the view to the Burg Hohenwerfen. Definitely recommend arriving by car as the walk up the hill is pretty steep.

The location is unbelievable, the hotel is situated in front of the old castle, and there is an open space where it is possible to drink a beer and enjoy the fabulous view. The room was clean, comfortable, and big enough for 2 adults and 2 king-size poodles. It was an unforgettable experience and we hope to come back soon.

Didn't have a car. Found out the last day there's an inexpensive cab schedule. Look for the info outside the werfen train station or visitor center.

The pictures are amazing but don't come close to the beauty of this place in person. The owner picked us up at the station. There's a shuttle to the ice cave that comes by the hotel.

Nothing we didn't like. Unsurprisingly for a small town, the staff's English wasn't great, but we got by fine. A car is a must since it's a bit outside of town. The modern finishes (hard floors) tend to amplify sounds from outside the room, but the hotel's policies mean it's a very peaceful place to stay.

Kaspar, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has been recently renovated and is very comfortable with every convenience we could want. Werfen has two main attractions (if you don't count the Sound of Music trail): the Eisriesenwelt ice caves and the Hohenwerfen fortress. We were just down the road from the first and looked out the window at the second - definitely worth the extra few Euros for the castle view room! Plenty of free parking. Breakfast was excellent!

I was very impressive of this hotel. It is in in calm and nice moutain and castle view location. The hotel is not too large but well organized and clean everywhere. In the room, we could get everything for free: fruits, Tee, coffee, 2 bottles of water in a fridge and a jug of water. Breakfast was 15€ per person and made me enjoy eating. The receptionist was nice and helpful. This hotel is 10 mins away from Eisriesenwelt the most famous landmark in this area. The free parking lot is in front of the hotel. Finally, Wi-Fi is powerful with no password. I will come again!!!

Very friendly and hospitable welcome, the most amazing views!! OMG, that castle view constantly changes depending on the light. Very clean and well presented room. Thank you for the thoughtful chocolates and fruit. Highly recommend.

Everything was perfect.

Excellent location. Great view all around. Hotel is close to the Burg Hohenwerfen by car. From the hotel terrace you can watch the show of birds of prey in the castle. It is not far from Salzburg. Good Wi-Fi. Delicious breakfasts. Quick check-in and check-out. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The room is clean and nice. Bed is comfortable, new plumbing.
