Hotel was peaceful and comfy. Location of the hotel was perfect for our needs and there were parking for our car. Breakfast was good and varied and staff was helpful and very friendly.

what really exceeded my expectations was the possibility to have my expensive bike locked in the basement. The room is only opened be the staff and only for the guests who have their bike in there. A great alternative to leaving the bike in the car overnight. The staff is very friendly and their dog "Anneliese" is one of the cutest beings on this planet. The carpet in the hallways makes it a really quiet hotel, especially in the mornings and late evenings. Gotta love it.

the breakfast was just ok and could have been a bit nicer in our opinion but it was not a big issue for us because everything else was great.

the room was newly renovated and wonderful! it was more like a small apartment. the staff was extremely welcoming and nice and all spoke English! we loved staying here! the hotel restaurant had really great food!! the breakfast was just ok. it was a nice little place to stay. thank you!

The staff were unwelcoming. If eating in the restaurant, be prepared for a grumpy lady who believes in that old well - known adage " The customer is always wrong".

The front desk woman was extremely rude. I arrived at 1230 knowing the hotel was closed until 1500 so I sat outside the front for almost 3 hours which was fine as I knew this. The lady then opened the front door at 1515 when a passer by called her to say I was there. She then stated ‘oh why didn’t you ring the night bell’, no apology or anything. I wasn’t bothered as I knew it was closed but it would have been nice to have ‘sorry to keep you waiting’. Then my partner came to stay one night mid week, we went down to pay at the front desk for his stay in the morning which was no problem. On my final night, he came to say goodbye to me at 0600 in the morning as he was leaving at 0700. I walked downstairs to an extremely angry front desk woman, saying ‘we knew he stayed, you are never welcome in my hotel again, I have put in a formal complaint to booking and they will deal with you’. I offered to pay for his short visit because of how angry she was, she said ‘no it’s done, you will never return and booking have been informed’. So I said ‘that’s ok, here’s my key’ and she then continued to rant on for another 5-10 minutes about how I could have at least asked…. at 0600 in the morning?? Anyway, if you’re looking for a nice alpine holiday with lots of nice little restaurants of local food and a couple of bars, Imst is 100% not your place to go! I won’t be returning ever, I would suggest going to stay in the stubai valley, or pitztal valley, not in Imst. I skied in stubai, pitztal and kaunertal which were all fantastic, even in late November!

The staff were helpful, friendly and kind- just outstanding! This hotel is family run and it makes a difference, the whole vibe is relaxed and welcoming. My room was well appointed and spacious with a fantastic view and super comfortable bed. The restaurant served a delicious breakfast and dinner and I really enjoyed the garden seating area. My stay included a free transit pass. The bus stop was just steps away and it also included a daily gondola ride at Hoch Imst, entrance to the town's swimming pool and an enjoyable trolley tour throught villages in the valley (the Slow Bear) plus discounts to other area attractions. Hotel Stern was the highlight of my 2 week tour in Austria!
