Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only thing to be aware of is that the penthouse is in the guest wing, a different building to the main hotel, a walk of just 20 metres, but does not have a lift nor direct access to the very nice spa. In the great scheme of things this was very minor. My wife who did not ski, found the town of Sölden quite charmless existing only on a busy arterial through road with a lot of traffic, hardly any nice shops or cafes apart from ski equipment and clothing shops, no nice centre away from the road and the town is just hotels and apartment and restaurants. So ensure all people want to ski as that is the main focus which is done very well, but this is not a pretty, charming town.
The penthouse apartment 311 was absolutely beautiful. Furnishings, design, layout and views. Very comfortable and perfect for two people wanting luxury, almost Bond like! The views in three directions were outstanding and the terrace was high enough that you had almost unadulterated views across the town to the mountains. It also felt extremely private. The terrace was also a south facing sun trap which was most appreciated and was usable even in March without having to wrap up too warmly. There was nothing to fault. For the skier the lifts were close by.

IsraelWe stayed at the "guest house" which is a separate building, so we had to go out to the main building for breakfast and the sauna. Sometimes we could here a bit of banging noise, possibly from the restaurant below us.
The room was large and comfortable, it was clean. The hotel's sauna had really nice beds to relex after it. The location great, 5-7 min walk from the nearest lift, very close to the main apre ski area.

Czech RepublicOnly 3 nights...
Unbelievably responsible helpful staff! I made a huge mistake and booked my room from Saturday but I arrived on Friday at 11m. As you understand, almost everything will be closed in the holiday's evening at this time. But hotel staff helped in their overtime and found for me a free room. I was unreally happy. Also, the hotel is a very good itself, big rooms, normal bath instead of shower! Sauna without booking! Nice breakfast! Cool wooden style everywhere.

United KingdomThere could have been more than one coffee machine and breakfast.
Great location off the main road, making it nice and quiet. Good restaurants nearby. We liked Unkle Tom's, Gusto and La Fondue in the Sunny Hotel. The hotel was really clean and tidy and friendly helpful staff. Easy walk to the Giggijochle Telecabin to get up the mountain, with Ski Rental at Intersport just beside where we could store our ski boots and skis overnight. The nighttime tobogganing was great fun.

SwitzerlandNo tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Apart from that there was nothing we didn’t like.
Recently renovated rooms which are very spacious, modern and comfortable. We had a family room and the children had their own large room with balcony separated from the main by sliding doors. Bathroom was also large and modern. The hotel is located in the centre of Solden with nice restaurants within walking distance. The inclusive Ötztal Summer Card is also great with access to many cable cars, museums and swimming pools.

AustriaIf you go later to breakfast, i.e. half an hour before the end, the choice of food is limited. Otherwise it is very good breakfast. Rooms should be equipped with electric kettle, so that guest can have tea or coffee after skiing day. It is not big investment, and management should think about it.
The hotel staff is really nice and professional. We stayed in that newly renovated part of the hotel. Room was clean, spaceous, two TVs with many channels, and with terrace. Hotel is close to ski lifts and gondolas, as well, there is complimentary access for 3 hours to spa that is literaly around the corrner. Restaurant is good, I strongly recommend pizzas there.
