The price of the breakfast was more expensive compared to some other hotels. The selection of food items was scarce and it did not bring satisfaction. The sink and shower drains in the bathroom were not working properly. There was no mechanical ventilation in the room. Customer service during check-in was not friendly.

The building and interior are quite nice. The price-quality ratio of the restaurant's food portion was good.

This was our 4th time in Brauhof Wien hotel and hotel was excellent as always. Room was very clean, big, with every day cleaning, with bathrobe and sleepers, very comfortable beds and with a little chocolate on pillow every day after cleaning which was a nice touch after our all-day walking. Parking for your car (if you need it) is great and it is in inner courtyard of hotel, so it's very safe and accessible if you need you car through your stay. Location of hotel is perfect, it is about 500m from subway station line U3 that is line that goes to very center of Vienna, at Stephansplaz and cathedral. There is also line U6 on that station. If you want to walk (as we were doing every day), you need about 30 minutes to get to center, at Opera state house and Sacher cafe and further through walking zone Kartner Strasse (with many shops) to Stephansplaz with cathedral. Hotel itself is very cosy, clean, with great ala card restaurant where you can order fantastic meals (burgers and Cesar salad are FANTASTIC) and they have big open terrace in inner courtyard. For hotel breakfast there is great variety of sweet and savory food, fresh vegetables and fruits, fantastic different kind of bread and croissant and very good coffee. Staf is very helpful, polite and friendly and they will go above and beyond to help you with everything. It is excellent value for money and you won't find better hotel than this so it's for every recommendation. Looking forward to come back!

The room was supposed to have a minibar, which we needed to keep some milk cool, but the minibar was missing from its alcove. We asked the reception to put one back and got a reply that this was a "quite unusual request" and that they will see if they can do it... and then that they won't be able to. This is a breach of agreement in my mind, even though they offered to keep it for us it was inconvenient. Also, the Nazi-era pictures in the room and corridors brought some memories I'd rather not to have about Austria's very problematic past as an active collaborator and perpetrator of the holocaust. I would not stay there again just based on this... There were some shoe sole stains and holes on the ceiling. maybe someone trying to kill a mosquito? these should be fixed (room 137). It's not very central but just 7 minutes walk from Westbahnhof which is okay.

The room was big, the mattress was comfy. the bathroom was very nice. There is a beer court in the hotel, which we didn't get to sample, but it looks nice. The hotel's restaurant was nice. Huge servings and quite tasty.

We felt a little uncomfortable in the restaurant with our toddler, although I think this may be normal in Vienna. There were no children's menus in the restaurant and no high chairs.

The room was dark and got little natural light. The floor boards were very old and every time you moved anywhere in the room it would creak so loudly.

It has a nice connecting restaurant and the room was spacious and quiet, as was the bathroom, with windows you could open for fresh air. Very friendly staff.

The AC wasn’t working and it was pretty hot so we went to ask on the reception why its not working and they told us its currently not working and we may use the central heat system to regulate temperature. It was still hot in the room so we turned on the AC by hand by pressing it and it worked perfectly throughout the stay. Also the commodity didn’t have any coffee machine which is essential for some people and the cafe on the first floor was closed couple of times that we went down to get coffee, so we had to go outside to have a coffee.

It was a clean cosy hotel with a great bed and it was in general a nice accomodation.

This is not something that bothered me, but it should be mentioned. It is true that at times it takes ten seconds or so for the warm water to come, but this is normal in an old building. If you wish to appreciate a genuine experience, this is a small price to pay. It is also true that there is no soundproofing, but the building is beautiful and old and I suppose it would be very difficult to have it soundproofed. It would also ruin the muffled sound of the Viennese wind that can be appreciated in a warm room :-) If someone is a light sleeper, they can bring earplugs in case there is some noise. The possible sounds of neighbours in the hotel building are not a reason to miss out on this great experience.

My room at the Brauhof Wien was one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. It was literally spotless. I cannot imagine how much time the cleaning service puts into making the rooms look the way they look. Thank you! The room in the beautiful old building provides an authentic Viennese experience, it has a hardwood floor, an exceptionally high ceiling and huge ceiling-high windows that can be opened in full (using the authentic old mechanism). These windows, of course, provide lots of natural light. The room is also modernly equipped - it has a modern wardrobe (huge, even though the room was for one), a large writing desk, a huge TV (I especially appreciated that the TV could be moved - I could watch it from different parts of the room). The wi-fi was stable and good throughout my stay. The bedding was warm and the heating was sufficient. It could be regulated from within the room. Last but not least, during my two-night stay I communicated with three different staff members at the reception desk, and they were all equally wonderful, highly professional and efficient. The level of cleanliness and the excellent staff would be enough to recommend this hotel, but it has many other bonuses. I did not try the food and the beer, maybe next time!

The fruit selection for the breakfast could be somehow better.

Comfortable spacious room with all the amenities you'd expect. I liked that the bathroom had windows and let in the natural light during the day. The breakfast was very good, wifi was fast and reliable. The hotel is well-connected to all major sights in Vienna and super convenient if you're arriving from the Westbahnhof station. Friendly staff. A restaurant/brewery downstair is a plus if you don't want to go out far to have lunch/dinner.

The location is very convenient to move around with metro and tram. But still, the Westbahnhof area is not the best district if you are looking to feel the authentic vibe of Vienna. For us price/performance factor was a priority as we knew that we would just come back to the hotel for a sleep. Which was a very good choice regarding this. The hotel has a very nice beer hall and a restaurant and they are making their beer. I am personally satisfied with my experience at the Brauhof Wien Hotel.

The hotel isn't suitable for wheelchair users or travellers carrying heavy suitcases or strollers. There is only one lift in the entire building, and it was out of service upon my arrival. Had to lug my suitcase up 2 flights of stairs to get to the 2nd floor where my room was located. 3 nights later, the lift was still out of service.

Great location (10mins walk away from Westbahnhof), good room facilities with complimentary water and toiletries provided. Supermarkets and pharmacy is nearby, with some late night eateries around the vicinity.

Elevator / Lift was broken which was not ideal for us as we were travelling with a child with stroller and multiple luggage bags.
