How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

V expensive for basic room. Sauna door broken. Old beer cans and glasses in living room, as there was no bin ! Sometimes noisy at night when others came in late, due to echoey stairways and doors closing
Spacious room and bathroom, comfortable beds. Good location near main road . Good key box entry system, didn't need any staff

The community kitchen was not clean, the fridge contained stuff that certainly was from parties departed long ago, the dish washer did not work properly and basic items like a towel were missing.
Good instructions, easy to get to room. Room itself clean and with everything you expect.

Check-in email got stuck in spam folder. Leaving it completely unclear how check-in would go. No possibility to contact by phone or email at all. Got stuck in front of appartment. The general use kitchen was rather poor equiped with cutlery/dishes/instructions how to use it.

It’s a little far from spa
It’s basic but one of the cheaper places to stay. It has everything you need if you’re just sleeping, eating in sometimes and need to jump in a sauna.

The kitchen was dirty on arrival and smelt pretty bad. Yet apart from that it was pleasant. Wouldn’t mind toilet paper in the bathroom next time also
It was a good location, with a bus nearby and the facilities very much filled out their requirements

It was not possible to park our car earlier than the check-in time, which made it a hassle a bit for us. We did got another room then we booked, but they transferred a refund back to us for the inconvenience, which was really nice!
The appartment was as it was on the pictures! Easy self-check in and enough parking spaces available. The ski bus was very close by which made it easy to travel to the slopes.

One small round table will be good on the room for drinking coffee Two keys for room (but is possible solve be keybox) Add information about bus stop (n3, in/out stops on another places, free of charge until 6p.m.)- we have this info, bc our daughter is seasoner in St.Anton, but good for others Good informations are - parking in Wellcon centre is free of charge after 2 p.m. - parking in ARL centrum is free for 3 hours, where you are guest here - booking have information room is 50m2, I see from photos that couldnt be, so I wasnt surprised with 30-35m2

The communal area kitchen and breakfast area had a funny smell that made it unpleasant to sit and eat your breakfast in.
The room was warm and comfortable. there was a good sauna and located very close to the bus stop where you could take a free bus into town.

Chalet Martin is a good value typical Austrian Chalet, with plenty of space, and close to regular ski bus service (every 10 mins). Very much self-service, never met staff, all done with key boxes. A good shared kitchen, although it would have been nice if there had been a breakfast option, but then there's a coffee bar next to the ski lift where you can grab a coffee and something to eat. Would recommend it, works well!

no contact person on site, bring your own toilet paper, bring your own sauna towels if you want to use the sauna, bring your own detergent, bring your own dishtowel if you want to use the kitchen bring you own batteries if you want to watch tv (in all our rooms and in the tv rooon)

Community facilities with 1) Dishwasher was broken, pile up of dirty water, dirty cutlery which smelt. 2) Overflowing bins of smelly refuse 3) Dirty floors. 4) heated boot rack not working Not allowed to leave small rucksacks in communal area on checkout day despite lots of space.
Clean, spacious rooms. Close to bus stop with regular busses to lifts.

Upon arrival we met the house owner, an older man with serious anger issues. He did not want to answer our questions and asked us to call Booking.com. The shower drain were more or less clogged. When we asked for a new towel and toilet paper the owner told us we had to call Booking.com, and we did but didn’t get either.

It was very dirty. It was a lot of garbage standing in both kitchen and hallway during our whole stay for 5 days. So with all the garbage it was a awful smell.
Our room was nice. Good beds.
