The only constraint is the timing of the gondola; you can't arrive later in the evening nor leave very early in the morning as you're bound by the opening times of the gondola.

Everything was amazing! As it was off-season, we basically had the place to ourselves. Our host was so friendly and kept us entertained during the evening. And the beds/comforters were so cozy :-)

The location is perfect if you love the mountains and the nature. You can reach the house by cable car, it is big enough and the way is comfortable. The mountain is amazing, some houses, cows, birds, so many route for your tours and a fantastic view :) The hütte is a little bit old, but it has a very nice atmosphere. The staff was very kind. The meals not the typical hütte meals, you can find here special taste from Nepal :) It is important, the shower and the toilet can be reached from the corridor, and they are shared All in all we loved our night here

The shower could have been cleaner. Mattresses were a bit hard. Apart from that, everything was great.

Amazing location with breathtaking views and great starting point for hikes. Great atmosphere of the mountain refuge. Very good food in the restaurant - although we didn't have time to try many dishes unfortunately. Breakfast was ok. The room was spacious and clean. Shared bathroom was not a problem at all, as there are not many rooms, so we never had to wait for the shower/toilet. Having a sink inside the room was a big plus.

The bathroom is not in the best shape, but you have to understand that it is located on top of a mountain, not in a beach hotel.

The Location of the guesthouse is extraordinary, and the staff are amazing. They gave us free shots and cakes! You would walk to the terrace and the view is breathtaking!

When booking the room I didn’t read properly that hostel is at the top of the mountain and could be reached by cable car or hiking. We missed the last cable car at 6 pm and had to hike up to the mountain for about 2,5 hour. Arrive just before sunset. To hike after sunset would be really difficult. I think this info about arrival should be stated as the important notice for guest.

There are no duvet covers or pillowcases. Blankets and pillows are damp, dirty and smelly. The beds are very uncomfortable. There was no hot water in the shared shower in the evening.

Honestlelly, it really should be clearly comunicated that you need good sleeping bags. This is not standard lager, but winterraum withou heating´. The temperature in winter can be even below zero in the sleeping area. Price is good and you still may concider this offer, but need to be properly equipped.

I’ve booked 2 nights during the New Year’s Eve weekend. After arriving and seeing at which conditions I should sleep, I changed the booking for one night. I’ve slept in the Berghüttten (even in much higher altitude as Feuerkogel) already several times, so I know what to expect. Each Berghütte had at least some heating, if some rooms were not heated they mentioned it. The owner said the room had 10 degrees, but I doubt that as I’ve seen there was an air coming from my mouth later in the night… Apart from that I’m in a Berghütte, above 1.500 m, I’ve heart a lot of different stories why the heating is not working and promises, that the heating will be on between 10-11, it was not. I really think it is pretty insolent to ask 48 EUR for a bed in dormitory room which is not heated… If you do not heat the room in winter, than mention it in the description!

Dormitory itself was “ok”, not really clean, but ok. Good location, but that’s it!

you need to bring your own bedsheets. The owner pointed out three times during a single dinner that we should pay for the food before going to bed (we had no other intentions). He was also visibly drunk (but still nice).

More details about the dorm sleeping arrangements would have been appreciated. It was a 28 bed dorm with no heating and no sheets provided. Blankets and pillows were provided, though they’re not washed. I understand that this is normal for huts and that it is expected that you will have a sleeping bag liner, but it would have been nice to know for someone who had never stayed in a hut before. The showers had mold on the side and weren’t very clean.

The location was nice and there was great hiking nearby. The breakfast was great and included in the price of the dorm room. The staff was friendly and helpful.

bed sheets, smell in the room, dirty floors, old bath towels, dirty shares bathrooms and showers, kitchen closes at 7 so you have to hurry back, staff needs to deliver more and better
