Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Location, practicality and cleanliness. Evi is very nice and friendly, her husband cleared the driveway of snow for us which was also greatly appreciated. Great for families and ample hot water for everyone after a day on the ski slopes (somewhat of a rarity as we have found from our travels). Thank you!

United StatesSpacious, bigger and better than advertised even! 2 bathrooms, 1 with a shower. Clean. The host provided additional items that were so thoughtful such as some key kitchen ingredients (spices and coffee) and just had several extra nice touches that were above and beyond! So happy we chose this place and would stay here again?

NetherlandsWe liked everything about it, but the bathroom and toilet both were downstairs, while all the bedrooms were upstairs.
It was super clean, eye to the little details were amazing!! Great for kids toys, boardgames and books available at the property Beautiful view from the windows, nice terrace outside to enjoy the sun!! Owner provided us with eggs from her farm, homemade marmalade, drinks and chocolates. We also got the welcome card from the owner which included free bus rides to the city and free entrance to the Axams Freizeitzentrum(swimming pool) Communication with the owner was great too. We loved our stay at Ferienhaus Beim Lener!!

This stay was so unique. The authentic farmhouse really made us feel like we got to experience true Austrian country life. Our host made us feel very welcome and gave us fresh eggs and other homemade goodies. There were several restaurants within walking distance, but i would stay away from Klamm Hutte unless you get the pizza. The visitor's card that was part of the stay also allowed us to enjoy several lifts in innsbruck and surrounding area. Innsbruck was a very easy 10 to 15 minute drive. The house was extremely well equipped with everything we could need or want. Grocery was close by as well.
