Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThis is NOT a no smoking property as advertised. There are ashtrays on the balconies. There is no airconditioning, so if you open the windows all the smoke will come in. We were veryucky our first week that there were very little to no smokers, but the second week it seemed like there was smoke in our room 24/7. I have severe asthma so this was really not ok. We talked to the reception, but unfortunately they didn't do anything. I understand, smokers are a large part of their clientele. But should not advertise to be a non smoking property if only the rooms are smoke free (and not really if you open the window).
The junior suite rooms are very spacious Location is perfect, walking distance to train station and 5min drive from mayrhofen Spa facilities are really great, large pool, saunas, all perfect Facials and massages on offer are great Beautiful area Food was exceptional

United KingdomThe dislikes were more like smalll gripes rather than complaints; It was very warm, sleepingbeas a tad uncomfortable on the first night. radiator off and the windows open helped for the subsequent nights. pool opened from 7-10am and then closed until the afternoon. strangely they cleaned it while it was available rather than waiting.
The room was a decent size for two and the food was plentiful for breakfast and the evening meal. the hotel is situated in a decent location for the resorts in the Zillertal. but we had a car. However, the ski bus stopped right outside.

GermanyWe used the swimming pool in the morning and it was a great experience for us, but in the evening I think it might be improved. And it's the only thing.
The room was large, clean, with a great view, we didn't expect that and were very happy! Restaurant dishes tasted very good, with a good selection of different kinds of dishes. The staff was friendly and very attentive to all requests we had. The restaurant also has a menu for children which is a great plus. Very good selection of tasty desserts. The swimming pool has a comfortable temperature of the water. Parking space inside the garage with access from the hotel. Overall it was one of the best places we visited in the last 2 years!

United KingdomI would have liked to have had a refrigerator in our suite: we like to make our own cup of tea in the mornings and it was difficult to keep the milk fresh as it was so hot during the day.
The traditional Austrian decor, the friendly staff, the excellent food, the wonderful swimming pool AND the option to use a sauna with our swimsuits on!

United KingdomI stayed at the Neue Post, with my wife, for 4 nights in December 2021... leaving on Christmas Eve. Every aspect about this hotel was exceptional and we enjoyed every single minute of our stay there. All of the employees were efficient and friendly... receptionists, housekeeping, bar & restaurant staff. The hotel owner made a point of talking to us and making sure we were happy with everything. We were more than happy. The breakfasts were varied, plentiful and of great quality. The dinner (included in our half board package) was superb!!! We'd like to say a personal 'thank you' to the chef who provided us with such delicious food every night. The menu was amazing and what was served never disappointed. The dinner was 5 (or 6, if you had enough room for the cheese board) course... a beautiful salad table choice, a starter, soup, main course and dessert. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the Ramsau-Hippach station on the Zillertalbahn, which we reached after flying into Salzburg from Edinburgh and taking the train via Jenbach. Many thanks and Happy New Year to everyone at the Neue Post.

GermanyJoke : everything felt like it was up-hill ;) especially after a day walking over the mountains. No complaints what so ever.
The property is located slightly raised to the town, giving great views from the front, whilst the back overlooks the garden and pool facilities. Every morning a ‘homemade’ newspaper greeted us at breakfast, with a small overview of the days events plus the weather for the following 3 days, plus a fun quiz on the reverse side. The hotel, food, staff were fantastic. Clean, safe, professional and courteous. We often asked the front desk questions regarding transport / the area, and each of them equally gave impressively informative answers. We were very pleased, and will return again. A secured underground car park ensured our car was safe, as we used the public transport daily for everything, and to go everywhere. A weekly ticket costed around €25, which included all the trains and buses for the entire valley. Very good value.

The rooms need renovation, for this price I believe there are nicer options out there.
Very clean room. The breakfast was really good, while the dinner was OK. A lot of food, but weird combinations (eg. steak with strawberries & melon ). The SPA area had a lot of space
