How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

This apartment become our favourite, the best ever so far. Extremely tidy, well equipped rooms, very kind and hospitable hosts. We had an amazing time during our stay. We will come back again for sure. Recommended for nature lovers even if there is no snow since there are a lot of hiking trails nearby. Thank you very much for everything, dear Familie Gschaider!

The hosts are very friendly and always ready to help. The appartment is ideal for families with small children, with a well-equipped kitchen, various board games available and a small playground in the garden. We enjoyed the idyllic neighbourhood and the sound of the cow bells. The charlift is just a stone's throw away and there are hiking routes starting right next to the house.

The apartment was very nice, it felt like home! Beautiful nature, forests, mountains, two ski lifts nearby, silence! And what a beautiful air! The owners are very nice people, polite, caring!

Excellent place to stay, preferably if you have car but there is also bus stop right next to the property. Hosts are very very nice, views are gorgeous and we were bit sad that we had schedule so full that we could not use all of the benches and sunbeds on the well maintained garden more often. We had apartment with kitchen that was fully equipped and one bedroom. The apartment was spacious for us (2 people) and very clean.

Our experience at this Landhaus Gschaiderhof was amazing! We arrived at Puchberg am Schneeberg with the train and the owners of the hotel provided a pick up from the train station (and brought us back to the trainstation on the last day). Afterwards they gave us the keys of the apartment and showed us the Landhaus. It is perfectly located. Via the backyard you have immediately access to the routes in the mountains, which is perfect for hiking as well as mountainbiking (the e-bikes could be rented on the location). Furthermore, the rooms are really big! We ordered the breakfast in addition, which I would really recommend. Last but not least, the hosts are really kind people and are willing to help you with everything. Thank you again for hosting us and I hope that we have the opportunity to visit you again!

Great owners, they are very kind and nice. Kids like the trampoline and bathtub. Perfect starting point for hiking trails.

If you want to go hiking, then the location is in a perfect place. A hiking route start from the house, the chairlift is 5 minutes by walk. Puchberg is around 10 minutes by car, but there is a bus too. The environment is very quiet and peaceful, you can only hear the sound of the nature, which is pretty relaxing, and there is a very nice view to Schneeberg. My general feeling was that the area is not a big tourist-paradise (at least at the end of August), which was a huge advantage for me as there was no crowd anywhere - the facility is very cozy, I liked the external and internal design as well - the apartment is clean, spacious, comfortable and well-equipped - but if you maybe miss something, the owner will help you out for sure - the self-service "shop" is very useful as the place is a little far from the town, and shops and restaurants close early - the owner is outstandingly kind and helpful, she provided a lot of information about possible activities, restaurants, etc. - the wifi works and quite fast (which is not usual around hotels and apartments in my experience) Overall, I highly recommend this facility to anyone who wants to chill in the nature, go hiking or biking, away from any disturbing urban noises

Excellent place! Very friendly host, clean and tidy apartment, beautiful nature around and also it is very good location for hikers as hiking path starts just right in front of the building and the chairlift is only ~300m away. Two great restaurants are also just a short walk from the building. Highly recommended!
