A great base for skiing holidays in Axamer Lizum.

The kitchen is now quite dated and the sofas would do with a good clean. The Wifi is extremely temperamental. We arrived on Sunday and all the local shops where closed, the self service cabinet outside did not accept any of our credit cards. Even paying cash, the choice was very limited, just eggs, cheese and cured meats. Perhaps the host could consider providing some bread and milk for those Sunday (or late evening) arrivals. P.S. We later found out that the MPrice inside the Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof was open Sundays and was well stocked.

Compared to other ski apartments this one is very spacious with two decent bedrooms (one double, the other one twin) and also a large kitchen / dining room. There is an option of additional folding beds. The flat is very warm in the winter. There's a two minutes' walk to the bus stop with frequent departures to both Axamer Lizum resort and Innsbruck. Ask the host for the Welcome Card to get free use of local transport including the entire Innsbruck network. Do bear in mind that you can message the host in English but the answers will be in Deutsch! Some reviewers have mentioned a farm smell, we've never had an issue with that inside the apartment. Also, very useful for skiers, there's a free skibus to Stubaier Gletscher every Tuesday (and possibly Friday) which needs to be pre-booked at the Axams tourist office so it's worth thinking ahead of your holiday what ski pass to buy!

Good value for money but don't have high expectations.

It seems that the apartment is above a cowshed - we didn't like the smell. The kitchen is very small and scarce in free area to place groceries. WiFi was unstable.

    Value for money. Free parking.
