Everything was perfect!! The hosts were absolutely welcoming and friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean. The meals were so delicious. Amazing view from the balcony. We were completely satisfied.

Breakfast was great, we had also dinners included in the rate - these were really lovely, on a terrace outside, served by the ladies in the traditional dresses, 4 course menu, we could choose the main dish from 3 options. One evening was a barbecue, followed by tasting of spirits produced in the house as well. Upon arrival we were welcome by brochures and letter in our language (Czech) and offered a larger room. All the family who runs the hotel are very welcoming and nice, without being in any way intrusive. Nice views of the mountains from the terrace, a bit further from the main road so only suitable for people with their own car. I can only recommend this family hotel.

One small mistake...very bad mattress

The breakfast was very big and hearty. There was a lot to choose from in the prepared buffet. The food is really a very strong point of this accommodation. In the accommodation, the whole family will be happy to advise you, they are always in a perfect atmosphere and will help you with everything you need. The hotel does not disturb you unnecessarily and we enjoyed a well-deserved rest and the sport associated with it on the slopes.

Everything, perfect. it was ideal, quiet, peaceful, lovely fellow guests, wonderful food and facilities, amazing views from every aspect. Our hosts were attentive but not intrusive and could not do enough to make us feel welcome. They even let us put our motorcycle in a sheltered ‘garage’. would recommend to everyone. we will certainly be returning. It was the highlight of our holiday.

The Hotel Sonnfeld of the Berger-Habe family, surrounded by mountains, situated in picturesque location, a 5-minute drive from Hinterstoder. A wonderful varied breakfast and dinner, comfortable clean rooms, cheerful hosts - Renate, Alias, Marina and Alex. Every morning a beautiful view from the balcony, and the silence of the mountains met us. The cable car Hinterstoder - Wurzeralm Bergbahnen is no more than a 10-15 minute drive from the village house. The ActivCard we received from the hotel owners allowed us to use the cable car every day for free. Not far from Hinterstoder is Lake Almsee (1 hour driving) with a beautiful mountain view around. You can walk around the lake in the forest on a sunny day, as we did, or rise above the lake and admire it from above. The concert of the owners of the house, arranged for the guests of the house, made the stay there simply unforgettable. We felt at home in the Sonnfeld Hotel. It was very sad to leave this place. We would like to return there again. Thank you for your hospitality, dear Berger-Habe family!

Hotel Sonnfeld in Hinterstoder is a gem! Everything exceeded expectations and made for an unforgettable stay because of the kindness of the family owners and all staff, as well as the beauty of the landscape and endless opportunities for an active holiday in pure nature! Although guests seem to mainly come by car, it was not our case and actually, to our surprise, everything in the area encourage you not to do so, which is perfect: free public transportation in the whole Pryn-Priel area, which is huge, and local Tourism taxis for a fraction of the actual price, taking us anywhere and bringing us back (the drivers are amazing and really know the best hiking spots). Many thanks to the family owners who always recommended best places to visit and picked us up from the station. We had the most scenic view from the balcony, the hotel's location is absolutely wonderful, a dream! (pictures) The evening dishes were high-class, dinner was a stellar experience! Locally-caught fish, beautiful and tasty traditional food, and inventive drinks with local herbs sipped outside overlooking the mountains. Do not leave without getting some bottles of Gin and liquors from the hotel's own, highly rated, distillery, we actually regret not getting more of them upon departure. Overall an amazing stay in an wonderful place, will definitely return.

We were not able to find any defect.

When taking everything together, i.e., the room size, furniture, bathroom equipments, cleanliness, balcony, the hospitality and friedliness of the staff, the choice of the food and its quality, this was the best family hotel among those we have visited in Austria. It merits the current high booking.com rating.
