Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdom1. This hotel is at most a 3 star hotel, the fact that they market themselves as a 4 star hotel sets guests up for disappointment! 2. If you accidentally leave your key card in your room and shut the door behind you (or lose your key card) after the hotel restaurant closes for the evening you will find yourself wondering if you have to spend the night in the hotel corridors because the reception area is locked behind an interior gate and there is not a single member of staff around to assist you - it is completely deserted! I spent over an hour trying to find a member of staff, called the hotel number several times (something which cost me a lot because it is a foreign number) and left voicemails (because no one picked up) explaining how I was locked out of my room and messaged the hotel on booking.com before someone (presumably the owner) eventually picked up and said I would have to wait a quarter of an hour and hung up. I had seemingly gotten the owner out of bed for an additional keycard to access the room I had accidentally locked myself out of. I kept apologising profusely as the owner unlocked the reception area and was organising an additional key card for me but it was met with a deadpan face and a curt “what’s your name and room number?”. All hotels must have a 24/7 reception! 3. Staff in the bar and dining areas are not very friendly to non native German speakers and can actually come across as quite rude! We noticed this during our first and only mediocre evening meal at the hotel on our arrival day as well as at breakfast every day. When we had requests like “may we please have some extra plates, some spoons and napkins so we can share everything” - we had to get the brunette waitress’ attention for each of those things separately because her service was nonexistent and our questions at breakfast posed to the male waiter were responded to in a very abrupt and curt manner. 4.
1. Christine was as lovely as described in other reviews, she was very helpful and genuinely friendly and approachable. She helped us with local bus stop locations and routes, printed complimentary Welcome Cards which allow free transportation on buses in Innsbruck and 20% off the Nordkette cable cars ride and she rang our car hire company so we could pay a border crossing fee over the phone because we were considering visiting Italy or Liechtenstein. 2. The lady who serviced our rooms, cleaned the rooms thoroughly and left me towel animals on my bed which was a thoughtful touch. 3. The basement with multiple saunas of varying types and temperatures was probably the only thing that exceeded my expectations about this hotel and is worth spending at least a couple of hours in - something I wish I had done (we only spent an hour there due to our tight schedule). 4. The location (Lans) is a quaint village with good bus connections to Innsbruck City Centre. 5. Some rooms have nice views!

AustriaThe pool was not warm enough for this time of the year. The dinner was quite average quality. It was Easter, but there was no decoration or whatsoever to feel it is a special moment.

GermanyBased on the website my wife and I expected a more peaceful stay with relaxing time spent in the infinity pool, sauna and restaurant. Instead, the majority of the guests were families with small children. We found we were unable to truly relax in the pool or the sauna... as children were playing in each. No rules being broken, we just had the wrong impression of the hotel based on the pictures on-line. Instead of a nice quiet dinner, we were seated next to an absolute mess of a table where a child hand thrown food everywhere... the next adjacent table had children playing Minecraft on their Nintendo Switch, and at least 2 other nearby tables had crying children. Breakfast was a bit better, but still had children running around the dining room and breakfast area. We will look for an adult only accommodation in the future.
The hotel location was wonderful for local skiing and a day trip to Stubai Glacier.

BahrainThere is no air conditioning in the rooms and therefore in the increasingly hot summers in all Europe it makes the room a little stuffy.
A cozy and traditional hotel in a beautiful area. The rooms were clean and cozy and it has a very nice outdoor playground for the kids.

AustriaOn arrival another guest and me had to wait long until we got our keys for the rooms. The lady on the reception was not very welcoming. On Saturday there was a wedding, which was very loud an annoying until 12:15 am…especially if you‘re travel is work related. I‘d have expected that someone informed me about this beforehand, I‘d have defenetily booked another hotel
