How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Everything was excellent. There was nothing we didn't like.
Everything was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They suggested where to hire our ski equipment from and what transport to use to the ski meeting point etc. The restaurants were very good.

I booked a room with a balcony, but the view was to a small street, not exciting. I didn't use the balcony at all.
Very well located, walking distance from the CityXpress lift. Good restaurants and shops around. Also very close to the bus and train station. The sauna was good, as well as the breakfast. Staff very friendly and gave us good tips.

Not a lot really to dislike
From the moment we walked in we felt welcome. It was basic I would say but comfortable and clean. The staff in every department, reception, waitresses, cleaners all welcoming and helpful and couldn’t do enough to help. Hair dryer , yes no problem, kettle in the room, yes no problem, extra pillows, yes no problem, help to check in on our flight home, yes no problem. The location spot on, in the middle of town but still quiet, near the ski lift the bus station and train station and the bars and restaurants. Loved it. Thank you to all, for making out stay so pleasant

Narrow stairs, wooden floors but I suppose thats because it's old building ...
We asked for some extra pillows, water kattle, bathropes....and we got it all. Merry friendly staff, very clean, nice sauna...

The room facilities were disappointing - the mattress was below standard, the room was chilly and there is no bar fridge provided. The bin in bathroom was not cleaned out after previous guests.
The location is really good - right next to the old town and very close to the lake. Although located on a busy street, the noise is very limited when the windows are closed. The building interior is older but well maintained. The check-in and breakfast staff were very friendly!

Bedroom carpet looked old and grubby. The bedroom was cold and the grouting in the shower looked black in places. I

Great location, close to lifts, bars and restaurants. Rooms are clean and well furnished. Breakfast is as you would expect. Would definitely recommend.

the room was pretty small for 3 (although it seemed bigger on pics), the bed mattress was just awful and room had a crack in one of the walls.
great location - 5 mins walk in ski boots to the nearest lift! it's always nice to have a sauna after skiing! breakfast was also good.

The only thing that we didnt appreciated were the pillows, they were too soft.
The location was very convenient to the downtown of the village, the parking is right next to the hotel, the breakfast was super delicious and the staff was very kind.

New big fresh rooms with nice balcony. Clean bathroom and excellent shower conditions. In short - everything were big and spacy. Breakfast very good. Mike is cross country fan!

The room smelled bad, even though they were kind at the front desk and changed our room the next day and the other one was the same, the small bathroom. Very old furniture. It's not worth 50 euros a night
