We have stayed here for 4 nights, it was wonderful stay! Food, rooms, staff... everything was perfect. We enyojed it a lot. Hopefully we will visit this hotel again.

The staff of the hotel impressed us for incredible Customer service. They were available to solve any of our problem (we had a big issue with car) with professionalism and care, giving notable advices and helping with relentless commitment. Nice restaurant, nice pastry making. Position unbeatable right in the main square of Abtenau. Rooms clean, modern structure. They deserve highest score.

loved our stay in the centre of this small village. lovely personnel. beautiful renovated hotel. we could charge our EV here at the parking lot of the hotel. very convenient. breakfast was good. dinner was also ok! we did not use the wellness, but we could use it to shower after we had already checked out! that was very nice!

Excellent hotel with excellent location, so cozy, clean & comfortable . Warmly welcomed by the friendly staff who made my trip more interesting with great advices & tips about everything, would definetely recommend this hotel to everybody! The hotel is located in the center of Abtenau, staff is very friendly, breakfast is good, the rooms are clean and big enough (not the usual hotel size chambers). They have a small swimming pool and a peacful garden. Perfect place to relax, but a good base also if you want to discover the neighbouring mountains, lakes and towns.

perfect location at Abtenau's small market square. the single room in the quiet building in the back of the hotel was spacious for a single (with single occupancy), had a queen sized bed and a small balcony. I've been to Abtenau many times and stayed in serveral hotels in the town - never have I been disappointed with service and hospitality and the Goldener Stern is one of the nicest examples for the high local standards.

We just returned from Hotel Goldener Stern and it was all just amazing! Owners treat you as a family and the atmosphere is so calm and welcome. Rooms are super spacious and clean with a perfect view. Breakfast was super tasty and the garden? That is heaven! I really recommend everyone to stay in this hotel as this is something that everyone deserves! We will be back soon :-) Thank you!

The food was great but there are not enough staff. The wait between courses was quite long and some children were running laps in the dining room while waiting for their meals. The reception desk was often left unstaffed also.

The dinners were filling and delicious. The salad bar was super. Breakfasts were tasty and healthy. Lots of fresh fruit, tasty cold cuts and delicious baked goods.

The hotel was easy to reach with public transport, just take bus 470 from trainstation Golling-Abtenau. Our room was very beautiful and modern. The service was excellent. Breakfast was very complete and the diners were great. I have a special dieet and they took great care of me. We really loved our stay here!

This, being off tourist season this hotel caters to tour groups. One of few places to have dinner but over run with these groups so very noisy and mediocre food. Same with breakfast, 7:30-10:00, both days we went down at 8:30 and all items very low after the large groups had there breakfast. Not satisfactorily replenished for other hotel guests
