Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe heat in the room. I was aware there was no air conditioner so no complains, but room was too hot even with open windows , that made it difficult to sleep.
We stayed in the triple room and it was spacious for 3 people with high ceiling. There were comfortable beds in the room. The breakfast was tasty. the location was perfect, walking distance to everywhere we planned to see.The stuff was friendly.

AustraliaWe found nothing that we were unhappy with. We were hoping for a cheerful place where we felt good and friendly service and this is what we got.
The hotel fits neatly into the "cheap and cheerful" model. For the price you get excellent location and friendly service in a clean and well preserved building.

BelgiumBe aware that the reception closes at 18h. So if you leave luggage after checkout, you need to pick it up before that time.
We stayed in a double room, which was spacious enough for two adults with luggage. The beds were comfortable. Nice bathroom. Everything was clean. We also never heard other guests. The hotel is located in a calm street, close to many restaurants and tourist attractions. We were able to sleep with the window open.

PolandThere is no AC or fans. Luckily we stayed there when the temperature wasn’t high, but we kept the windows opened during night and everyday it was noisy since 6am. There was no safety box.
It was clean and the bathroom has got everything you need.

CanadaMatrass were ripped on the front side and the hole was not covered by fitted sheet, it had just an esthetical unpleasant look, but functionally was good. The room's temperature was very high (due to hot weather outside) at check in time, but if curtains would be kept closed so room would not get heated by sun as much, we kept curtains closed for the day we stayed and upon return in the evening the rom's temperature was much better.

SwitzerlandThere is not a fridge in the room, what is inconvinient while travelling with an infant. The reception closes at 18:00 so when we arrive there was no one there. However they leave the keys in the mailbox with a code and everything its really easy.
The hotel was quite near the center. It was great. There were a lot of places nearby where you colud have lunch/dinner and were cheaper that the ones in the center. The hotel was old but it has been renovated so its confortable while still maintaining the vintage feeling to it. The elevator was incredibly pretty :) The room was much bigger than expected, the breakfast was nice and the workers were reallly nice and always happy to help.

United KingdomThere was a kettle and cups in the room, but no tea/coffee/milk/sugar, and no spoons. The beds were very narrow. There could have been more options suitable for vegans at breakfast, and at least clear labelling of ingredients. The worst thing was the extremely loud noise early in the morning. Our room faced the street and we were woken up by the noise which went on for some time. It was like being in the middle of a factory. Not sure if it was just traffic/deliveries or the building site nearby.
The location was good, and the room and bathroom were a good size. There was also a bath. The breakfast was good.

AustraliaAs it was very hot in Vienna when we were there we would have liked a fan in our small room. It was very warm in our room at night so sleeping was a bit uncomfortable with the heat.
The location was great, quiet and easy access to public transport. Walking distance to Old Vienna if you enjoy walking as we do. Peter, on the reception desk was extremely helpful, very pleasant and friendly. He offered to put some milk we had in his fridge as the room we had didnt have a fridge. The breakfast was excellent, just what we wanted for busy days of sightseeing. Staff were constantly refreshing the platters of food. It was spotlessly clean. There is a lift so you don't need to carry your bags upstairs. I would definitely recommend Hotel Graf Stadion.

AustraliaThese aren’t necessarily deal breakers and didn’t impact me greatly but just some things to be aware of. There is no AC so the room was quite warm in July, however when the temp drops you can open the window and it’s fine. The shower is super small, so I found myself continuing to accidentally turn it off when I was in there which is a bit annoying. Breakfast is good but not extensive.
This is in such a great location - it’s close enough to the city centre that you can walk to the main attractions but far enough away that it’s quiet and away from the hustle and bustle.
