Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThere could be more expected about the cleaning. It smells and two of the lights from the ceiling never worked, it's goot there was a nightstand lamp.
The best thing is the location. It's only a few blocks from the U-Bahn Station.

SerbiaThe entrance to the shower cabin is too narrow. The air in the apartment was a very weird odor, not fresh. The sheets had a bad odor.
The location is excellent. Very easy to come to the city center. And very quiet. The beds were very cozy. The heating was very good.

BelarusCommon impression: everything is quite neat, but it is generally desirable to update (for example, a hob from the 80s, but nevertheless - it is working perfectly). 2nd bed is not soft, it seems like we sleept on boards. The shower itself is not so small as described in other feedback, but the entry is very narrow. I think this can be easily solved by changing the sliding shower screen. No microwave oven.
Good central location, only 3 stops from the center on U3 subway line. Big food store BILLA is close to the apartments. Excellent heating (even too warm, so we switched off one of them). House is historical, a little worn by time, but not bad at all.

GermanyThe attachment to hold the showerhead was broken, so you have to hold it while you're taking a shower. Also the door handle for the door of the bathroom kept falling off as it wasn't properly attached. Even though there was a coffee machine, there were no coffee pods, so essentially it's useless.
The location is pretty good - easy to get to a lot of places with public transport. Easy check-in, check-out process. A good place to stay if you're exploring a lot and only spending the night here.

GreeceThe lady that is around the place , at the building and is responsible for anything you might need for your stay , is a little difficult to communicate to. She didn't speak neither English neither good German (only basic words). So the communication in general was a little tough. Also the place (as a space) is just enough for three or four persons (as we were) , and for some even uncomfortable and tiny. The couch that is offered as a second bed (for two people) is not for proper and healthy sleeping as it is tough and the pillows given were really thin, so you just practically have a real hard time enjoying your sleep there. Last (but maybe a coincidence), the wifi stopped working on the second or third day of our stay. To replace it , we were given a plug in device ,(like a portable router ) that didn't function either for long , either at good quality.
The apartment was next to the Kardinal-Platz station of the subway of the U3 line. Really convenient for our transport. The price was the best we found for a wide area near the centre. Ideal for small group of student friends in terms of space and demands.

GreeceThe building was a bit confusing with many stairs leading to the same floor, but the owner came quickly and helped us. Also it didn't have enough cookware so cooking was a bit challenging.
Descent apartment with very easy access to the centre of Vienna. Nice neighborhood with little shops and places to eat. Sweet owner even though she spoke only German.

MexicoThe sofá bed had bugs that at first we thought was a weird allergy, but in the second day we actually killed two insects coming out from the bed sheets. We let housekeeper know inmediately (shared pictures) about the situation but she replied the bugs were carried by us. For me, it was clear that the bedbugs source was the Apartment as we didnt present any bites and rashes until we sleep there. One of my Friends had around 30 bites and we ended up buying loratadine and cortisone cream. As we realize what was happening until our third and last day, we decided to use the apt just as a locker, luggage in the bathrome away from the sofá, and spent our last day in the city. At this point, i didnt even ask for a refund because I understand that it is complicated to have everything under control and there's a lot of people entering the building, but I didnt like landlord defensive attitude blaming us directly instead of trying to understand the situation and actually coming or send someone to check in real time what was happening.
Great location.

AustriaAll the bad reviews are true. -Broken bed -Wi-Fi did not work at all during our stay -Incredibly narrow shower doors make it almost impossible to get in the shower -The sink is so small and uncomfortable that it cannot be used properly -The fridge is smaller than a minibar and is very old -The stove is also old. The entire kitchen is old. -There is no microwave -The coffee machine does not work -There is only 1 saucepan, 2 spoons and 1 tablespoon -There is not even one tiny piece of soap in the bathroom. No dishwashing liquid in the kitchen -The single wardrobe was taken up by a floor fan and sofa cushions, so there was no space for clothes. -The common stairs leading up to the apartment deserve special mention and should be included in a catalogue of ‘The worst building entrances’.

SerbiaThe location of the accommodation is excellent. The metro station is 5 minutes from the accommodation, so you will be able to quickly reach the city center or many attractions in the city. The area where the accommodation is located is quiet, but you can reach the main street in a 10-minute walk. Collecting the key is simple, the owners will send you the code for entering the building and the code for collecting the key, which is in the box in front of the apartment. Excellent!
