How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Aktiv Und Wellnesshotel Gutjahr is a wonderful place to stay if you're looking for a relaxing and comfortable getaway. The hotel boasts two saunas, one textile sauna and one traditional sauna, which provides guests with a variety of options for unwinding and rejuvenating after a long day of activities. The breakfast is absolutely fantastic, with a wide range of delicious and fresh food that is definitely worth the extra ¥15 per person. The hotel rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and we were lucky enough to receive a beautiful apartment that was clean, comfortable, and modern. Additionally, there is plenty of parking available, and there is even a charging station for electric vehicles, which is a great bonus. Special note for the service we received by Ms. Simone whom was going out of her way every time we needed anything. Overall, we had a fantastic stay at Aktiv Und Wellnesshotel Gutjahr and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable stay in the area. The hotel's amenities and excellent service make it a top choice for anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating vacation

Not much to do in the town if you are not skiing/ hiking etc. And no train station in the town. Our family had several rooms, most were quiet but one was v noisy, 21 - the door was in a stairwell and the balcony overlooked the main door and carpark. Also the Restaurant staff were not flexible, e.g. when our family wanted to sit together for breakfast.
The modern rooms were lovely, great breakfast and food. The hotel had everything we needed, v comfortable and great facilities.

View over the surrounding mountains, big and comfortable room, very clean. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Nice swimming pool, sauna and spa area. We'll definitely come back for a longer stay.

The sauna could be opened longer.
Really nice hotel with friendly staff and cheerful owner. Our room had a great view on mountains, the hotel had quite big sauna centrum with more sauna rooms each with different temperature and steam bath. The pool is quite big too. The breakfasts were perfect with a lot of different food to choose. The homemade marmelades and chutneys were great! 5 course dinner menu was perfect too. Extra point for being dog friendly :)

Very spacious & comfortable appartment . Very clean. Markus, the host was helpful and kind. The location is great, few minutes walk from town center.

We liked this place a lot. We came to do via ferata and found this hotel as a good strategic location. The breakfast is just awesome, such a selection. Wellness centurm, especially panaramatic sauna, is also top. Last but not least, the owner/manager is a great guy who will make anything to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. We´ll come back

Nothing all was perfect.
Our vacation in this hotel was amazing. We used early morning swimming pool with resting room before breakfast. Swimming pool open from 6:30. Breakfast 7:30 - 10:00 and dinner 18:30 - 20:00. All foods are fresh, really tasty and there is a lot of selections for all. Spa and saunas are really great with panaromatic view. Saunas open from 14:00 - 20:00. Room was very comfortable and cleaned every day. All employees and mainly owners are very very pleasant and nice peoples. We love this hotel and we supposed that we will come next year again.

We were in the apartment. The beds were super uncomfortable. Got back pain. Housekeeping never came to clean or change towels which was surprising. We were there for 5 nights.

The shower head was not comfortable. No AC. The waitresses does not speak english. Not the best value for money experience
