Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandEclectic atmosphere, yet cozy and comfortable. Wonderfully landscaped greenery around the hotel. Lots of places for children to play. Tables and loungers in many places around the garden. Clean rooms, comfortable beds.

Czech RepublicThe breakfast could be better and maybe more sustainable approach to electricity (the lights in common area were always lit up even in an apartman for few people...)
I enjoed my stay, the rooms are clean and spacious, they were cleaned every day, which was nicem the staff is very friendly and helpfull. The breakfast is good, I would say normal. Only the location if zou are not there by car can be a bit challenging. However it makes up with how peacefull it feels.

IndiaThis place is little out of the city but good for ongoing travelers. Hotel was little away (300 mts) away from reception. Property must have been more then 100 yr old seeing the interiors and arts and fittings but superbly maintained and give a complete heritage experience.

United KingdomWonderfully eccentric hotel in the hills outside Graz. Stayed in the annexe , an Art Deco lodge 100m away from the main Gasthaus. Lovely gardens , comfy large rooms and excellent restaurant/breakfast. There is a nearby tram stop to go into the city and the area is rural and quiet at night.

MexicoThe views from both guest house and restaurant were amazing. The sculptures within the interior and the landscaping surrounding the guest house were astounding. There is a road/path next to and meandering along and through a wooded area that provides tranquility for bicyclists, hikers, joggers and dogs!humans and dogs. The daily work of staff in cleaning the common areas and the exterior by making nature seem"natural", when in reality the parking lot as well as the immediate vicinity surrounding the house were scrupulously swept so that no fallen leaves were visible near the guesthouse. The only drawback to my stay there was the food served in the restaurant, which no longer lives up to which I will imagine is its past reputation. One meal was outstanding, while the others were mediocre at best.

Czech RepublicHaus Sonne is quite specific. There are many statues and statues' heads in the hallways. We arrived quite late in the evening and it looked a bit like from a horror movie. Also it is not very well kept, it smelled musty. I think the price/value ratio is not good in this case.
Gratz is a beautiful city and the part where the hotel is situated is really nice. We stayed in Haus Sonne and its garden is like from some kind of movie - very romantic :) Our room had a nice enterance to the garden and we could use a table for breakfast outside. I loved it :)

PolandThere was some construction work going on across the street, which was a little loud in the morning, but that's not the hotel's fault.
Spectacular villa with fairytale decoration. Our room was big and very clean. The house had a great garden and was wonderfully quiet in the afternoon/evening. The property is a 10 minute walk away from a tram stop with frequent service right to the centre of Graz (the ride to Hauptplatz is about 25 mins). The restaurant is literally next door and serves great food at reasonable prices.

United StatesThe rooms are a bit dated, lacking some comforts, such as air conditioning, but they still are comfortable.
Comfortable room in the forest, a bit away from the city, but within easy reach by tram. Häuserl im Wald basically is an excellent and very popular restaurant with a few guest rooms. It is an especially great location if traveling by car since there is plenty of free parking.

SpainThe room given was not in the building mentioned but 500m away, in a different house. The place is somehow creepy and pretty far from the city center.
The staff was friendly and polite and breakfast was really really good - not many things to choose from but great quality, fresh and tasty. The place is surrounded by a private park full of nature, quiet and beautiful.

Place was exceptionally nice and causy. We not expected such a big and nice accomodation for such a affordable price. It included a personal kitchen with all the necessary accessories, calm place and nice view from the restorant terace. Also we found a big play yard but was not able to use it due to the rain.

RomaniaThe daily cleaning in the room is done superficially, basically just picking up the trash from the bin. On hot nights, the presence of a fan does not really help, it only rotates the air. I suggest installing an air conditioner. My room had a refrigerator with different products and a price list. I didn't like that one price was listed on that list and another price was marked at the reception on the day of departure, for example a bottle of light Cola was 2 euros, and 4 euros at reception. All TV programs were exclusively in German. At least one channel could be in an international language (English, French or Italian).
I lived 3 nights in the so-called Annex (room 6), the building being similar to a mansion from the last century. It had an interior staircase made of solid wood, some windows with a kind of stained glass, stylish furniture. The building, surrounded by a lot of greenery, is placed in a forest. Excellent price-quality ratio. It is located 900 m from the T1 tram station, which you can use to reach the old town. The restaurant has an excellent position, like a fairy tale.

ItalyI booked the hotel based on the great reviews of their restaurant. I was looking forward to a nice dinner after a long drive, but unfortunately, the restaurant is closed on Mondays, which I learned too late. I had booked a double room for myself but ended up having a single one at arrival and the room was just too small for me to be able to work and sleep well. In any case, I would return.
The staff is super nice and very helpful and the location is charming. Very good breakfast. Furthermore, the hotel is pet friendly. You feel like you have found a hidden gem.
