The hosts were delightful and immediately made us feel at home. Location in the village, easy walk to train, local bus, grocery and restaurants as well as lake beach and ferry boat to Hallstatt. A perfect mountain retreat.

Location is amazing: great views, walking distance to train station, 5km with a bike to Hallstatt. Apartment had everything you needed and the hosts were very kind and helpful. We were able to lend bikes from them. Soft beds.

It was a really pleasant stay. The owners of the house are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. They gave us valuable advice on our trips, about the city and surroundings. There is a possibility to borrow bikes, that helped us reach further places. The apartment was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed, and the bathroom was also well equipped. The apartment offers breathtaking views from the windows. There is also a very nice garden to relax in. We enjoyed our stay in Haus 66 a lot. Thank you!

Host and wife were extremely kind and helpful.Even before arrival, they were very prompt in their replies to our questions thru booking.com. Accommodation is very near to train and local bus station which we appreciate a lot. Village is very safe and quiet( which we are thankful for the touristy break from Hallstat) Accommodation is the ground floor unit and owners stay upstairs. It was also extremely clean, neat and well presented. Washing machine is a bonus ( €2 a load is reasonable and convienent) - drying rack and ample clothes hanger. We arrived at noon- did the Dachstien giant ice cave and 5 fingers. The next day we headed early to Hallstat through the local bus at 750am ( bought a day ticket bus for €5) - ate breakfast and took all the touristy Instagram photos before the day crowd arrived, did the 930am Salt mine tour, left Hallstatt with local bus for lunch at Gasthaus Koppenrast - award winning restaurant, rested at Haus 66, then 330 pm took the Navia flatboat from Obertruan to Hallstatt to see the church and ossury and took the 620pm boat back to Obertraun. So we successfully avoided the 11am to 4pm Hallstatt madness. We had a wonderful 2 night stay and would recommend highly to anyone who want to enjoy Hallstat at a slower sustainable way.

Responsive and helpful host. They allowed us to check in earlier and leave our bag after checking out. The house is well equipped with everything that you need (and they even provided fresh milk). 4-6min walk to bus stop/train station. 10min walk to boat ride.

Beautiful guest house that's easy to find from the train station. A short walk to the bakery/supermarket and a good distance away if you want to visit Hallstatt too. The bed was very comfortable and the place was so quiet

The hosts were the most outstanding we have encountered with communication, service and accomodation. They could not have been more helpful and kind- sharing their bikes, local knowledge and venue- even offering to help us with transport. The apartment was extremely spacious, perfectly presented and comfortable in all aspects. I would highly recommend this accomodation.

We travel a lot and very rarely that we go back to the same place the second time. But Haus 66 had made an impression. It is our second time staying here already. And certainly will not be our last! The kindness of the host, the quality of the place, the cleanliness, and the charm of the village, it really is the best choice for this region.

I highly recommend Haus 66, the apartman is just in a perfect place, with an amazing view, close to everything, but it is also really calm place for relaxing. The house is full equipped, modern and comfortable. The owners are really nice and friendly, giving lot of tips for trips around Obertraun. Our stay was just perfect! I’m sure we will come back for longer time.

Everything was nice and we misses nothing :)

The accommodation is very clean, the kitchen well equipped and the bed very comfortable. We missed absolutely nothing. The view of the morning sunrise over the mountains was priceless. The owners are very nice and helpful, they give you lots of interesting tips for excursions in the area.

Perfect House. The main thing which we liked apart from the house which was extremely clean and beautiful were the hosts. They both were the best people we have ever met. If u plan to stay in the city one must only go to House 66.

I don’t leave reviews often but I must share how wonderful this place is! First off, it is meticulously clean! My husband and I don’t stay at places that’s below 9.5 cleanliness rating, Haus 66 is so clean even by our standard! Amazing view from both rooms. Wonderful and helpful host. Highly recommend and we will definitely come back again.

The location is absolutely amazing, with a very nice view of the mountains surrounding Obertraun. The apartment is spacious and well equipped, comfortable beds, huge bathroom and very nice and new furniture, with a very well well equipped kitchen. The hosts were very nice and helpful and took care of us whenever we needed, they offered us bikes to go around Obertraun and Hallstatt. They also gave us excellent tips for hiking trails and nice places to visit. This is the best place you can stay when you visit Obertraun. Everything was excellent!
